Real Housewives Of New York Who Have Connections To Donald Trump

Former Real Housewife of New York City Bethenny Frankel famously uttered in Seasons 1, 2, and 3 of her Housewives tagline, "New York City is my playground," and while that may be true, there's also a former president who was notorious for rubbing elbows with the creme de la creme of the concrete jungle's social scene.... none other than businessperson turned politician Donald Trump, himself.

Given that a lot of the RHONY women frequent some of the same posh NYC establishments and run in the same social circles as the business tycoon, it's only expected that, prior to becoming POTUS, Trump probably had a connection with at least some of them, right? But in what capacity do the women and Trump really know each other?

Were there ever any romantic connections between Trump and the RHONY ladies? And perhaps most importantly: Did those connections ever translate to a vote for him in the 2016 and 2020 presidential elections? Keep reading after the jump to find out!

Bethenny Frankel had an impromptu run in with Donald Trump

Reality star turned Skinnygirl mogul Bethenny Frankel had a rather awkward encounter with then-presidential hopeful Donald Trump.

As reported by BravoTV, during an episode of "The Meredith Vieira Show," Bethenny recalled a moment in which she bumped into him in the lobby of a hotel — whilst sporting attire from the evening before. Ruh roh.

"Well, I am single and I was leaving a friend's house at 7:45 a.m. and I had my jewelry in a glass and I was holding my dog cause she slept over with me. I had a gross shirt on. And I walk into the lobby and I walk straight into Donald Trump," she recounted. "The lobby's like packed with his people. [He says,] 'This is Bethenny. She's the one you really want to pay attention to.' And he gave me like a hug and I go, 'Oh my God, I probably have the worst Skinnygirl alcohol breath.' And he gave me a hug and I was horrified," she added.

Still, when pressed at the Season 9 reunion about who she voted for during the 2016 presidential election, Bethenny confirmed that she did vote for Hillary Clinton, but admitted she was not happy with either of her choices, per Decider

Ramona Singer says she and Donald Trump share mutual friends

During the Season 9 reunion special, "Real Housewives of New York" veteran Ramona Singer also revealed that she and Donald Trump have a shared connection, whilst also refusing to disclose who she voted for in the 2016 presidential election.

As reported by Decider, Ramona revealed that she had frequented Mar-A-Lago numerous times in the past "because my friends are friends with him." Alas, it appears Ramona later proved that statement to be true when she was allegedly caught fraternizing at a party hosted at Mar-A-Lago in late January 2021.

According to the Daily Mail, a source claimed that, though the "Singer Stinger" was under strict orders by Bravo to not leave the state while in the midst of filming, she snuck off to sunny Florida anyway. "Producers asked them to stay in New York state, and they all bolted," the source alleged. It should also be noted that her parter-in-crime, countess LuAnn De Lesseps, was also spotted in Florida around the same time, though not at Mar-A-Lago.

Sonja Morgan is adamant that she and Donald Trump are nothing more than friends

It's often been rumored that RHONY's Sonja Morgan, aptly referred to as "Lady Morgan," actually dated former president Donald Trump. After all, with a line-up of suitors that included Prince Albert of Monaco, Jack Nicholson, and Eric Clapton, one might be inclined to be believe the whisperings. Alas, during an episode of Bravo's late night show "Watch What Happens Live," Sonja finally put those pesky romance rumors to rest once and for all. As reported by Bravo, Sonja was adamant that she and Trump were nothing more than friends. "Friends, we're friends, always," she maintained.

According to Decider, during the Season 9 reunion, before pleading the fifth on who she voted for in the 2016 presidential election, Sonja clarified even further as to how she knew Trump. "Because I did consulting for hotels and restaurants," she explained, while also admitting that she knew Trump's former wife Ivana, as well.

One Housewife, however, has gone on the record, admitting to going on at least one date with Trump... and she's not from New York. As reported by Us Weekly, in a shocking revelation, former "Real Housewives of Beverly Hills" star Kim Richards confessed during a reunion special that she did indeed have dinner with then-President Donald Trump. "Yes," she confessed. "I had a dinner with him. I had dinner with Donald," before adding, "I don't want to get into it! I don't want to talk about the president."

Now that would make for some good TV!
