What Happened To Eric And Leida From 90 Day Fiance?

The best part of summer is that everything seems to slow down. Kids are out of school, adults get summer Fridays, and you can finally eat outside (and that's not because you are not allowed inside, but instead because the weather is nice enough to enjoy it). The worst part of summer, however, is that there are no new episodes of "90 Day Fiance." While we will have to wait for the fall to watch the new couple's fight, thankfully, you can spend your summer Fridays revisiting some of the greats. We suggest you start with Eric Rosenbrook and Lieda Margaretha from Season 6.

Like most "90 Day" couples, Eric and Lieda met on an international dating site. Following the "90 Day" trend, they seemed remarkably mismatched for a relationship, but perfect for a reality TV show. Lieda was in her 20s at the time and living in Indonesia. Eric was in his 40s and was a retired military officer and father living in the rural United States. Things got messy when Lieda moved to the U.S., and Eric's children made it clear that they did not approve of their father's new fiance. Lieda, for her part, didn't like that Eric paid child support (never mind that it's the law), and she especially didn't like Eric's teenage daughter Tasha. The drama reached a crescendo when Tasha moved out after Lieda got a restraining order against her, per ScreenRant.

Now that their season has wrapped, what are they up to now? Here's what we know.

Eric and Lieda have had some issues

It has not exactly been smooth sailing for Lieda Margaretha and Eric Rosenbrook since they appeared on "90 Day Fiance." The couple made headlines in 2019 when police were called to their Wisconsin home to deal with a domestic disturbance. Lieda accused Eric of domestic abuse, but Eric claimed that any violence that occurred that evening was only the result of his attempts to protect Lieda from herself. Eric released a since-deleted statement explaining that Lieda had attempted to harm herself with a knife and that his "military training kicked in" in his efforts to keep her safe. Lieda refused to speak about the incident publicly, per Newsweek.

So, that's not great, especially given all the tension that already existed between Lieda and Eric's children, but against all odds, the couple is still together. They even posted a selfie to celebrate this year's Fourth of July holiday. All in all, they seem like a perfectly normal and happy couple. While we are not sure if Lieda is getting along with Eric's kids, we can tell you that she is getting along very well with Eric's pet snakes (as evidenced by her Instagram). So, at least there's that.

If you or someone you know is dealing with domestic abuse, you can call the National Domestic Violence Hotline at 1−800−799−7233. You can also find more information, resources, and support at their website.
