Here's What Brandon From My 600-Lb Life Has Been Up To
When Brandon Scott first appeared on "My 600-Lb Life," his fate seemed uncertain. Weighing in at 718 pounds when he went to see Dr. Now, the Season 7 star had a promising future in music, but his weight was getting in the way. He blamed his unstable upbringing but knew he had to make a change despite his past.
"I am ashamed at how out of control I have let my body get...I just see a monster," he said on his episode of the show. "Nothing has ever compared to the happiness I feel when I eat." Fortunately, Brandon had the support of his girlfriend at the time, Taylor Kunce, and the determination to get well. And, with Dr. Now's help, he was able to lose over 300 pounds and even get some skin removal surgery.
So, where is Brandon Scott from "My 600-Lb Life" now? Here's what we found out!
Brandon Scott is engaged and still making music
Though he hasn't shared how much he weighs as of this writing, it's safe to say Brandon Scott is looking great! And what's more, he's already asked his girlfriend, Taylor Kunce, to be his wife!
"I never thought I'd see the day when I get to ask the girl of my dreams the most important question of my life! God is awesome. She said yes," he gushed in June 2019 Facebook post that has since been deleted, per Heavy. And though COVID-19 put the kibosh on many live musical performances, Scott is back out and touring now that things are finally starting to open up. He just released a single called "Handcuffed to a Demon" and even recorded a promotional video for the song!
And though it's not clear when he last saw the beloved Dr. Now, Scott frequently promotes all things related to "My 600-Lb Life." He recently appeared on the spin-off show, "Where Are They Now?" where he gave updates about "his life, his music, and most importantly his weight loss." How awesome. Congratulations, Brandon!
