Billy Eichner Cast In Season 7 Of American Horror Story

Could American Horror Story (2011-) be getting a little comic relief?

The hit FX show, produced by Ryan Murphy, has reportedly added former Parks and Recreation (2009-15) actor Billy Eichner to its season 7 cast. No word yet on the character he'll be playing, but, according to Entertainment Weekly, he'll be working closely with Sarah Paulson, as the publication reports that their two characters will have a close relationship.

According to Deadline, the Billy on the Street (2011-) star's role will be recurring and, as far as wardrobe goes, his character will "most likely be wearing mysterious tank tops."

As of now, not too much is known about the next season of American Horror Story. While it's been reported that season 7 will center around the 2016 presidential election, details about the cast and their assigned characters have been sparse.

Regarding the season, which is rumored to premiere with an election night, Murphy has denied that any characters will be direct portrayals of real-life politicians. He told E! News, "I think people literally think Sarah Paulson is playing Hillary Clinton...And I wanted to clarify that that is not true."

"Horror Story is always about allegory, so the election is allegory. It's our jumping off point. It is about the election we just went through and what happened on that night and the fallout of that night, which to many people, from all sides of the camps is a horror story," Murphy continued. "And you know, that show is always so fun when it's about the zeitgeist and what we're doing now."

American Horror Story is scheduled to begin production on its seventh season in June 2017.
