Kendall Jenner Steps Into Cindy Crawford's Shoes As New Face Of Pepsi

The Keeping Up With the Kardashians (2007-) star just landed a major modeling gig.

Kendall Jenner, 21, is the new face of Pepsi, a coveted position previously held down by supermodel Cindy Crawford. People magazine reports that Jenner will be a part of the company's "Live For Now" campaign.

"It's an honor to be following up some of the icons and amazing, cool people that have done this before me," Jenner told the publication, calling it "a dream come true" to be the first model awarded the role since Crawford.

The new Pepsi ad presents a crowd of protesters marching down a street, holding signs that read, "Join the Conversation." Jenner, donning a blonde wig, models nearby, watching the protesters from a distance. Then, she locks eyes with a man in the crowd, assumedly feels inspired to take action, and walks off the set of the photo shoot, whipping off her wig and wiping away her lipstick. Jenner then walks through the crowd in an all-blue ensemble (looking startlingly perfect for someone who just ruined her makeup) and hands a police officer a can of Pepsi. The officer, obviously, is happy to accept the soda, and the protesters cheer. Ah, the magic of Pepsi.

In a statement, Jenner told E! News, "I am thrilled to join the legendary roster of icons who have represented their generations and worked with Pepsi."

The young model continued, "To me, Pepsi is more than just a beverage—it registers as a pop culture icon and a lifestyle that shares a voice with the generation of today. The spirit of Pepsi—living in the 'now' moment—is one that I believe in. I make a conscious effort in my everyday life and travels to enjoy every experience of today."

Sorry, Coca-Cola. Sounds like you just lost a major celebrity to Team Pepsi.
