Evelyn Cormier Was On Another Reality Show After 90 Day Fiance

When "90 Day Fiancé" premiered in 2014, it completely changed the reality television stratosphere. The show follows international couples as they begin the K-1 visa process — a process that allows the U.S citizen and their partner to reside together in the United States. That is if the couple marries within 90 days. If the couple does not marry within that time frame, the partner that came to the U.S. must either leave or face deportation.

With that premise, the show became a fan favorite, creating multiple spin-offs and famous "90 Day Fiancé" stars that even those who don't watch the series would know.

The "90 Day Fiancé" world is notorious for ushering their couples in from one spin-off to the next. But what doesn't happen often is a "90 Day"-er going to another reality show series. But in 2019, fans noticed one of their "90 Day Fiancé" stars, Evelyn Cormier, was featured on another iconic reality show. Keep reading to find out what show Evelyn appeared on.

Evelyn Cormier joined this famous singing competition

In 2017, TLC viewers met Evelyn Cormier and her fiancé David Vázquez Zermeño on "90 Day Fiancé," Season 5. The two applied for the K-1 visa and began their journey together on the show. A prominent aspect of their storyline was Evelyn's love for music. She and her family were in a band together and Evelyn repeatedly talked about music being one of the most important parts of her life. While "90 Day" fans were happy to support Evelyn's music career, they were a bit shocked when Evelyn popped back up on their screens in 2019 — this time on American Idol.

It was that year Evelyn auditioned for the 17th season of the famous singing competition in front of judges Luke Bryan, Katy Perry, and Lionel Richie. She performed "Wicked Game" by Chris Isaak. When she finished, Perry announced that Evelyn had one of her favorite voices.

And because of that, and with the addition of Bryan and Richie's agreement, Evelyn was through to the Hollywood round — and even further. Evelyn ended up making it to the Top 14. Per Us Weekly, though she was voted off after her rendition of "The Middle" by Jimmy Eat World and "Dust in the Wind" by Kansas, Evelyn was more than happy with her experience. She told Access Hollywood, "I'm gonna go home, I'm gonna work hard, I'm gonna use the momentum that we have now."

Where is Evelyn Cormier now?

Evelyn Cormier certainly used that momentum from "American Idol." She has continued to release new songs, including a release with her "American" Idol co-star, Alex Preston, "This Isn't Love." Not only has she continued releasing music, she and her now-husband David Vázquez Zermeño recently moved to Los Angeles so the two of them could continue to grow their careers.

And if "90 Day" fans were missing seeing these two on their screen — well, no worries! Evelyn and David recently returned to the franchise to film "90 Day Fiance: Love Games." The spin-off puts couples to the test, against one another and against their co-star couples, to see which pair knows each other the best. Not only were Evelyn and David happy to compete, but they were also happy to shut down rumors of their separation. Evelyn told People, "I do a lot of modeling on the side and I don't always wear my wedding ring, but that doesn't mean there's trouble in paradise. People like to read into everything." Obviously, the two are happy together, and maybe we will get to see David in a music video of Evelyn's soon. Fingers crossed!
