Tom Hardy Reportedly Chases Down Motorbike Thief In London

Tom Hardy may have played a supervillain on the big screen, but in real life, this man's one of the good guys.

According to the BBC, two teenagers stole a motorbike in London on April 23, 2017. After the theft, they quickly drove away, only to crash into a car. One was able to run away, but the other didn't have the good fortune of making his escape. Instead, Hardy, who must have been nearby, caught him, and the police made their arrest.

But, as The Sun reports, the Mad Max: Fury Road (2015) star, 39, didn't simply stop the teenager by, say, sheer intimidation. He worked for it. Hardy reportedly chased the kid through gardens and a construction site. Once he caught up to him, he allegedly "grabbed him by the scruff of the neck and patted him down for concealed weapons."

"It was mental," an eyewitness, identified as Arun Pull, told the publication, "like he'd switched to superhero mode in an action movie. Two boys on the nicked moped had jumped a red light and smashed into a car."

He continued, "Tom must have been walking down the road. He went off like a shot in pursuit and looked furious. If the kid had been dumb enough to resist I reckon Tom would have given him a good hiding."

Since the incident, two 16-year-olds have been arrested in connection with the crime.

Criminals of London, take note. Hardy's looking for you—and he's gonna catch you!
