What Is Yamir From 90 Day Fiance Doing Now?

In Season 2 of "90 Day Fiancé," fans were awestruck when they saw the true love manifesting between Chelsea Macek and Yamir Castillo.

The two met when Chelsea was living in Nicaragua doing volunteer work. One night, Chelsea went out and saw a band named Myla Vox playing that featured a cute member, who ended up being Yamir. After messaging him on social media and going on a date, the two were smitten with one another.

While the two were smitten, they weren't smitten for long. Instead, "90 Day Fiancé" chronicled their trials and tribulations during the K-1 visa process. Once their 90 days began, Yamir moved from Nicaragua to Chelsea's small town in Illinois. Despite moving from Nicaragua and away from his band, Yamir was still focused on his music career, so much so that it became a sore spot in his relationship with Chelsea. As the couple didn't join any of the "90 Day Fiancé" spin-offs, fans have been wondering where the two of them went and whether Yamir has continued his music career. Keep reading for all the details.

What happened after Yamir Castillo and Chelsea Macek left 90 Day Fiancé?

During their "90 Day Fiancé" season and following, it seems Yamir Castillo wanted to move to Chicago to continue growing his music, while Chelsea Macek was content to stay in the town she grew up in. Still, when fans heard Chelsea filed for divorce in 2016, per Radar Online, they were shocked.

While neither Yamir nor Chelsea has stated why they split, the two have been amicable online and have continued to support one another in their separate endeavors.

Per In Touch Weekly, in 2018, Yamir posted a heartfelt Instagram post to Chelsea, saying, "Just because two people aren't together any longer doesn't mean you cannot have a relationship with that person," he wrote. "Although we no longer have the bond that united us, there's no hate." While the two didn't end up working out, one thing did work out for Yamir: his music career.

Yamir Castillo continued making music after 90 Day Fiancé

Since the end of "90 Day Fiancé," Yamir Castillo has continued to release new music, including one song he dropped in May titled "Fin De Semana." And in August, Yamir teased some new music on Instagram, saying, "I can't wait to drop this super Latin song." Not only that, but he has also produced multiple music videos for his songs, performed live, and — for "90 Day Fiancé" fans — reunited with his band, Myla Vox.

While Yamir has been making tracks, Chelsea Macek has also been working on herself since their falling out. In March, per People, Chelsea and Yamir sat down on "90 Day Bares All." During a clip, Chelsea opens up about her sexuality. "Yamir and I had had a conversation early on when we were dating about fact that I identify as being bisexual, and so that was something he knew," Chelsea explained before continuing, saying she is now at a point where she identifies as pansexual.

While Chelsea has participated in the "90 Day Fiancé" franchise, personally, she seems to have moved on. In April, she revealed on Instagram that she married her now-husband Dani. "It was divinely planned and simply perfect just as it was," she wrote alongside three intimate photos from their special day. Despite no longer being together, it seems Chelsea and Yamir have happily gone their separate ways and have each found what brings them joy.
