Grey's Anatomy's Eric Dane Struggles With Depression

The Grey's Anatomy (2005-) actor has reportedly been suffering from depression.

According to Variety, Eric Dane's depression has gotten so bad that the production of his TNT show, The Last Ship (2014-), has been temporarily placed on hiatus until Memorial Day.

"Eric asked for a break to deal with personal issues," a representative for Dane told the magazine. "He suffers from depression and has asked for a few weeks of downtime and the producers kindly granted that request. He looks forward to returning."

This isn't the first time that Dane, who is both an actor and a producer for the TNT series, has taken time off to deal with some personal demons. In September 2011, the husband and father of two voluntarily entered a rehab treatment facility for help getting off of painkillers, which he was prescribed after a sports injury.

As of now, the fourth season of The Last Ship is still scheduled for release in summer 2017.
