Kanye West Will Not Be Attending The Met Gala With Kim Kardashian

It looks like the 2017 Met Gala will be missing half of one of Hollywood's most fashionable couples.

According to People, Kanye West is skipping out on fashion's biggest night in favor of a night at home with his children, North and Saint.

"Kanye West will not be attending the Met Ball tomorrow," a source told the magazine. "Kim will be going solo. He's still very much enjoying his time off from public events."

"He'll be staying back in L.A. with their kids," the source continued. "Everything is great with him and Kim and he's supportive of her going solo."

The "Famous" singer's absence from this event doesn't come as a major shock as West has been staying out of the spotlight since he was hospitalized in November 2016.

This will mark the first Met Gala since Kimye became a couple that Kardashian-West won't have her man by her side.

Last year, the couple stayed true to the theme of the 2016 Met Gala, Manus x Machina: Fashion in an Age of Technology, in coordinating, silver Balmain outfits.

Although it's unclear which members of the Kardashian-Jenner clan will be attending the annual fashion celebration, there's a good chance that Kardashian-West won't be left without at least one other family member at the event. Kylie Jenner took to Instagram on April 30, 2017 to share a throwback picture of last year's event with the caption: "MET 2016."

This year, People reports that Kardashian-West will be wearing a Vivienne Westwood design. We can't wait to see how well her outfit fits in with the theme of the night: Rei Kawakubo & Comme des Garçons.
