The Heather McDonald Chrissy Teigen Feud Explained
On September 29, Chrissy Teigen took a moment to pay tribute to her late son, Jack. The model posted a one-year-old picture of herself crying next to husband John Legend at the hospital, after the couple lost their unborn child. "A year ago you gave me the greatest pain I could ever imagine to show me I could survive anything, even if I didn't want to," Teigen wrote in the Instagram caption.
"I didn't get to take care of you but you came and went to get me to love myself and take care of myself because our bodies are precious and life is a miracle," she continued. "They told me it would get easier but yeah, that hasn't started yet. mom and dad love you forever." Following Teigen's vulnerable social media post, celebrities and fans alike flocked to the comment section to send their well wishes.
"Sending all my love .. always," Nazanin Mandi wrote. "your vulnerability and strength is admirable," actor Ashley Greene commented. "I'm so sorry," another added. "You are so strong and thank you for sharing with us. We love you guys!!!!" That same day, however, Teigen engaged in a bizarre social media feud with comedian Heather McDonald. Find out what really happened below.
Heather McDonald called Chrissy Teigen a 'hypocrite'
Before posting a tribute to her late son, Jack, Chrissy Teigen took to Instagram to share a "not-so-perfect" picture of herself. In the photo, Teigen can be seen with her eyes closed, wearing a full face of makeup and trench coat. "I really think you guys are too conditioned to seeing perfect photos all day because so many of my comments on any given photo are 'why would she post this' or 'i love you girl but this is not flattering,'" she wrote in the caption.
"I just don't care about curating my Instagram to be perfection," Teigen continued. "Im a mess,I'm chaotic and this shall always reflect that, thank u!! Love, a Sagittarius." Shortly after, however, comic Heather McDonald called the model out in the comments. "These humble brags of 'this is an unfiltered picture so say whatever mean thing you want so people will actually write me nice things since I still actually look great' is so 3 years ago, Chrissy," McDonald wrote.
The comedian even reposted the picture in question, adding that she "cannot take it" and felt like she to "point out the #hypocrite" on social media. "I can't be the only one that can see through this BS," she continued. "Prayers for Chrissy that she comes up with some new ideas." MacDonald's shade didn't go unnoticed, though, as Teigen seemingly responded via IG Stories. Read her response below.
Chrissy Teigen seemingly told Heather McDonald to 'f*ck off'
As reported by Page Six, Chrissy Teigen posted a message on her Instagram Story, which seemed to be directed toward Heather McDonald's "hypocrite" comment. "I didn't sleep at all last night, as john can attest," she wrote. "I was up sick, sobbing, as my phone popped up the memory of being in the hospital exactly 1 year ago, losing our baby." She continued, "So maybe I'm a little sensitive today but f*ck off."
Shortly after, MacDonald went on to clarify her comments, adding that she doesn't have anything against Teigen. "I do not hate anyone," McDonald wrote in an Instagram comment, per Page Six. She also explained that, after seeing Teigen's "unflattering" photo, she felt the need to "call BS" and point out her attempt at humble bragging. "Now since she considers herself a comedian, and was literally a judge on TV of comedy, I was praying that she come up with some new material for her social media," McDonald sarcastically joked.
Elsewhere in her lengthy IG comment, MacDonald added some more playful banter toward Teigen. "Maybe today Chrissy can squeeze the outside of her thigh and highlight a cellulite dimple so the world can again remember how real she is," she continued. "Chrissy is just a mom/super model who actually eats and is super authentic."
