Who Is Carlos Correa's Wife, Daniella Rodriguez?

Baseball shortstop Carlos Correa has the world in his hands. The sports star is about to finish his term with the Houston Astros, and he knows that his value is high. "If they didn't want to meet my price in spring training, now that I led the league in WAR at 7.2 and I'm in the playoffs helping the team, I don't know if they'll meet my price now," he said about being signed again with Houston in an October interview with NBC Sports

Correa knows that he holds the cards, but Astros fans are desperate for the baseball player to stay with the team. One season ticket holder, who has been keeping stats for every Astros game since 2003, told KHOU 11 he believes Correa is the team's ticket to the World Series. "Keep him and they'll be back for the next three or four years," he said. Another voiced a similar sentiment, saying, "It's going to cost a lot to keep him here. I think he's the heart and soul of the team."

Not only does he have an illustrious career in MLB, but Correa is a married man. The athlete has been married to Daniella Correa Rodriguez since December 2019, and a quick look at Daniella's Instagram account seems to indicate that the couple is more in love than ever.  Here's all the tea on Daniella, how she and her husband met, and what their future may bring.

Daniella Correa Rodriguez is a former beauty queen

For Daniella Correa Rodriguez and Carlos Correa, their romance began on a baseball field. Their first meeting may as well be written up in the fairytale volumes, or alternatively for their future grandchildren. Daniella and Carlos shared their "love at first sight" story on YouTube in 2019. As the story goes, Daniella was a beauty queen and was crowned Miss Texas in 2016. After winning the pageant, Correa sent her a congratulatory message on Instagram. She never replied, but it seemed as if fate would throw them together at one of her last events as Miss Texas.

Daniella was tasked with throwing the first pitch for the Astros game. Carlos recalled telling his teammate, "Hey. Don't even look at her. She's mine." He followed her first pitch with another Instagram message, this time telling her that she was "even more beautiful in person." And that sealed the deal for Daniella, who agreed to go on a date with him. The rest is history.

But there's more to Daniella than her gorgeous looks and grace that won her the Miss Texas time. According to Boston 25 News, she studied teaching and early childhood development at Texas A&M International University. It seems as if she's mom material already.

Carlos Correa and Daniella Correa Rodriguez are having a baby

Carlos Correa took to Instagram in June to share that he and his wife, Daniella Correa Rodriguez, are having a baby. In August, he revealed that they are going to welcome a son into their family.

It appears that the daddy-to-be is already smitten and ready for family life, as Chron reported that Carlos withdrew from the all-star game in July to spend some quality time with his wife. "Baseball is really important to me, but family will always come first," he said of his decision. "People voted for me to be in [the all-star game]. People want to see me play in it, but we've been trying now for a long time to have our first child and now that it's finally there in her belly, I want to be able to spend those days with her and get to enjoy the whole experience, go to the doctor's appointments and see the baby on the sonograms and everything."

As for Daniella, she's enjoying this special time in their lives. In September, she wrote, "This third trimester has brought very interesting new things! Sciatic pain is no joke. ... But feeling baby move so much more is the best feeling ever. Feeling a little foot push my belly is incredible. As each day goes by my heart gets more excited to lay my eyes on my boy for the first time." Congratulations Carlos and Daniella!
