Who is Danielle Jonas? You know her as the wife of the eldest Jonas brother, Kevin Jonas, but chances are you don't know much else about the woman who stole the heart of a former Disney heartthrob. So, here goes: She was born Danielle Deleasa and grew up in Denville, New Jersey, according to Refinery29. She is the daughter of Bucky and Angela Deleasa, and she was a hairdresser until she embarked on her life less ordinary as the wife of a pop star.

Obviously, though, Danielle is very much her own person outside of her marriage. Over the years, she has built a thriving career for herself. She's a real go-getter who sees all of her creative projects through — all while supporting her musician husband as he pursues his own projects. Danielle is also a kind, loving, and unexpectedly hilarious woman. Back in 2010, Danielle accompanied Kevin Jonas on tour, and the couple turned their tour bus into one of their very first marital homes. "I think traveling as much as we do and being on the road, the craziest thing is probably having our own little tour bus," Kevin told Glamour that year. "For me and Danielle, it's been our little house with Dani setting it up. Not many people get to do that, and we did so it was pretty great."

They once took USA Today on a tour of their bus, showing off how much of a real home they had managed to fashion out of a moving vehicle. It included multiple televisions, a roomy seating area, a pair of bunk beds, and a kitchen equipped with a panini machine, refrigerator, and coffee maker.

Taking the camera through the master bedroom — which had a double bed, proper shower, and big-screen TV — Kevin said, "It's very cool because it allows us to have our own space, and with a bunch of smelly dudes and crew members on tour, this is a great place to just relax after a show and just kinda come together." He also revealed that the couple's little dog, Riley, had a tendency to think it was actually her bedroom, not Kevin and Danielle's. Oops.

Danielle Jonas often uses her status as a public figure to promote products on Instagram, including Hood cottage cheese. To film an ad for Oreo Thins, she enlisted the help of husband Kevin and daughters Alena and Valentina, who, as it turns out, take after their dad when it comes to acting skills. In the clip, Danielle and Kevin are attempting to hide their pack of cookies from their kids. The little ones walk in, and Alena asks, "Are you guys eating Oreos?" while Valentina crosses her arms and pouts. At the end of the video, we see them searching for the cookies in vain. Maybe they, too, will star in a Disney Channel series when they get a little bit older.

Acting might not be the girls' only talent. While discussing what big fans they are of the Jonas Brothers, Danielle told Popsugar that Alena would like to follow in her father's footsteps in another way. "She's very into trying to learn how to play an instrument, and she wants to learn how to play the piano," she said. "She's very interested in what [the Jonas Brothers] do, and very excited and proud."

But wait, there's more: The Jonases' eldest is also a dancer in the making. "Alena has her first dance recital in the beginning of June," Kevin revealed to Us Weekly in May 2018. Danielle also said that the girls will start dancing when she plays Jonas Brothers songs in the car. Aw!

Danielle Jonas and her family are super close — maybe too close? In the first episode of "Married to Jonas," we were introduced to her father, Bucky Deleasa, as he invited himself into his daughter and son-in-law's home — which he proudly explained was very close to his own. "My family, the Deleasas, they don't knock, they don't call, but you know, I'm used to it," Danielle told the camera. "Kevin may not be, but I am."

Her dad isn't the only Deleasa who plays a leading role in Danielle's life. She told Popsugar in 2021 that she, her husband, and their two kids have dinner with her side of the family every week, and her sister, chef Dina Deleasa Gonsar, is the mastermind behind these shared meals. Her other sister, Kathleen Deleasa, is the CEO and creative director of Danielle Jonas Co., per LinkedIn. To celebrate Kathleen's birthday in 2019, Danielle wrote on Instagram that she considers her sibling to be her "best friend" and "partner in crime."

Then there's Danielle's brother, Mike Deleasa. Per Billboard, he's a DJ who has actually toured with the Jonas Brothers. He's also released music of his own, debuting the single "Get Love Back" at a 2019 JoBros concert. Last but not least, Danielle also has a special bond with her mom, Angela Deleasa. She dedicated these words to Angela on Instagram for her birthday in 2020: "So blessed you have always got me and how I feel. I appreciate you more then you know."

Danielle Jonas and her sisters-in-law — Joe Jonas' wife Sophie Turner and Nick Jonas' wife Priyanka Chopra — sound like they have grown super close since marrying the three members of the Jonas Brothers. "They've always been so supportive, and it's really nice to have that — especially because they're girls, and I can ask them for their opinions," Danielle told InStyle in 2019. "That's really nice, because I was always surrounded by boys." 

Danielle loves exchanging ideas about fashion with Turner and Chopra, too. "Everyone's individual, which is cool," she told the magazine. "Sophie could be very laid back, and then super elegant. I feel like we're learning from each other's different styles."

Don't worry, though, this definitely isn't a one-sided relationship: Chopra and Turner have both also spoken about their sweet friendship with their sisters-in-law. "I've never had a sister, so it's really nice to have Danielle and Sophie, and just inheriting the family by proxy," Chopra told Elle UK in 2019. She also posted an adorable selfie on Instagram of the three of them hanging out in 2021, proving that they clearly really enjoy one another's company. As for Turner, she told Elle, "It's also nice to have built-in girlfriends, who are actually really cool, who I can hang out with and we can really talk to each other about, like, how crazy the boys' lives are."

Danielle Jonas is a loving wife, sure, but she also knows how to poke fun at her husband. When she was asked to roast Kevin Jonas on Netflix's "Jonas Brothers: Family Roast" in 2021, she did not hold back one bit. Danielle had unfortunately lost her voice that night (unless that was part of the bit, but we'll never know), so she had to hold up "Love Actually"-style signs to ask host Kenan Thompson to read her roast jokes out loud for her.

That said, the signs themselves were pretty savage. "I've lost my voice!" they read. "It's OK. At least I had a voice to lose ... unlike Kevin, who sings backup vocals." BOOM. In her speech, read out by Thompson, Danielle wrote, "Kevin is truly the best dad, and like most people, our daughters don't even know that he's famous." (The dinner-table conversation must have been preeetty awkward that night.) Posting about her performance on Instagram, Danielle wrote, "It's okay baby, i still love you" with a kissy face emoji. Her husband responded with two stunned faces and one laugh-crying one, so he clearly wasn't too offended.
