Was Sophie Brussaux With Another Celebrity Before Drake?

Drake is one of the biggest artists in the world — which is why it's no surprise that he is often either photographed or rumored to be with various beautiful women. In fact, there are many of us out there who truly believe that we may one day have a shot with the Toronto rapper. But it was model Sophie Brussaux who not only got with Drake, but also gave birth to their adorable son, Adonis.

Even though Drake has been dominating the rap game for over a decade now, his rise to fame began as early as 2001 — when he starred as Jimmy Brooks on "Degrassi," a character he portrayed for over a decade. Of course, Drake later followed his dreams of becoming a rapper, and over the years has had some major success. According to a Variety, a representative for Spotify confirmed that the "Best I Ever Had" singer is the "first artist to ever surpass 50 billion combined streams" on its platform.

Despite being in the public eye, Drake has always been a very private person. So when Brussaux claimed in 2017 that she was three and half months pregnant by the Canadian rapper, his team tried to shut down the rumors. But despite the fact that Drake's reps initially denied those claims — and didn't mince words, telling People, "She's just another woman in a long line of women claiming he got them pregnant" — this was, in fact, the real deal. But who did Brussaux date before Drake?

Sophie Brussaux once flaunted her relationship with a married NBA player

While Drake's dating history has been on display for over a decade, Sophie Brussaux — his son's mother — now has her past love life coming to light. A trailer for the never-aired show "Real Mistresses of Atlanta" is making its rounds on YouTube, and the eight-minute clip — in which she is featured — dates back to 2012. The show follows a group of young women who identify themselves as successful side chicks. Brussaux, who went by Rosee Divine at the time, was featured as a model who dates high-profile men.

One of Brussaux's beaus included a married NBA player. Although his name was not released, he can be heard on a phone call encouraging Brussaux to buy the luxurious condo she was interested in. "From the beginning I knew he was married," she said during a sit down interview on the show. "He told me about it but we were hanging out, we were having fun and there was just a really good connection between us."

While there have been rumors of Brussaux dating other rappers and athletes, no other information has been brought to the surface to support those claims. When questioning Brussaux's paternity claims, someone from Drake's friend group attempted to use her dating history against her, telling TMZ, "She has admitted to having multiple relationships." Of course, none of that matters, considering Adonis is Drake's child.

Sophie Brussaux chose a different career path, while she and Drake co-parent amicably

However, a year later in 2018, it wasn't until Pusha T released a diss track titled "Story of Adidon" — which was obviously aimed at the rapper — that Drake decided it was time to address a few things. On the record, Pusha T raps, "Sophie knows better as your baby mother ... A baby's involved / it's deeper than rap." Rumors of Drake fathering a baby boy started to resurface again and the Internet was in shambles trying to dig up any information on his alleged son and the baby's mother. Later, on his album "Scorpion," Drake acknowledged that Adonis was his son on the track "March 14." "She's not my lover like Billie Jean, but the kid is mine," he rapped, detailing his short relationship with Sophie Brussaux: "S***, we only met two times, two times." In the years since, Drake has shared multiple photos of and with Adonis on his Instagram.

As for Brussaux, who was born and raised in France, she has since chosen a different career path from the likes of modeling potential reality TV fame. Although she has been featured in several music videos, it is her artwork that set her apart and helped establish her career as a talented artist and painter. Despite Drake and Brussaux's rough start in the beginning, it appears they are heading towards a better place. The two have been pictured on Instagram celebrating various events together — for the sake of their now 4-year-old son, Adonis.
