Johnny Galecki's Home Burns Down In Fire

The home of Big Bang Theory star Johnny Galecki was burned down in a 1,200-plus-acre fire in San Luis Obispo, Calif., TMZ has confirmed.

The fire occurred on the evening of June 26, 2017 and is threatening other homes in the area. According to People, almost 250 people were evacuated from their homes that evening.

Galecki was not at his home, a ranch located about 190 miles outside of Los Angeles, when the fire occurred and has not yet been back to the property. TMZ says he will be able to return to salvage any remaining items after he gets the okay.

The 42-year-old actor has since released a statement on the horrific incident to TMZ, saying, "My heart goes out to all in the area who are also experiencing loss from this vicious fire, the threat of which we live with constantly, which may seem crazy to some but we do so because living in our beautiful, rural area makes it worthwhile."

His statement continued, "It's never the structures that create a community—it's the people. And if the people of Santa Margarita have taught me anything it's that, once the smoke has cleared, literally and figuratively, it's a time to reach out and rebuild."

"We've done it before, and will need to do it together again, and it will make our community even closer and stronger," he added. "Endless thanks to CalFire and the Sheriff's Office. I know you guys are fighting the good fight to keep us safe. So very relieved no one has been hurt."
