Alex Rodriguez Calls Dating Jennifer Lopez 'Humbling'

The former Yankees player is a star, but he now knows that his celebrity is nowhere near as huge as that of his girlfriend Jennifer Lopez.

During an appearance on The Tonight Show on Thursday, June 29, 2017, Alex Rodriguez told host Jimmy Fallon that dating J.Lo has been "one of the most humbling experiences" of his life.

"When I was with the Yankees, and we won the world championship, and you wear the pinstripes, you think you're pretty cool," Rodriguez, 41, explained. "But then, you hang out with Jennifer, and they confuse me with the security guard all the time!"

The athlete went on to add that he even gets told to move out of photos with Lopez, telling Fallon, "We were at the Met Ball, and the paparazzi were screaming at me, not even in English, 'Get the hell out of the way, get out of the way! We're trying to take a picture!'"

While getting mistaken for Lopez's security detail might be annoying at times, Rodriguez seems to be a good sport about it. Maybe it's because he and the singer-actress, who's working on a new Spanish language album with ex Marc Anthony, are so serious about their relationship. It's been rumored that the two have talked about the idea of getting married in the future, though, of course, nothing's been set in stone just yet.

It's clear, however, that Rodriguez is head over heels for Lopez. Just a week prior to his visit to The Tonight Show, he gushed about the "Let's Get Loud" singer to Entertainment Tonight, calling her "the hardest working lady" and a "role model" for his daughters.

Aww. If these two don't go the distance, what celebrity couple will?
