Report: YouTube And VH1 Star Stevie Ryan Dead At 33
Stevie Ryan, who first gained fame for her YouTube channel Little Loca, has reportedly passed away.
E! News reports that Ryan died as a result of an apparent suicide on July 1, 2017. According to a report by the Los Angeles County Coroner's Office, Ryan's death has been ruled as a suicide by hanging. She was 33 years old.
The day before her death, Ryan tweeted out a heartfelt message in honor of her late grandfather, who'd passed away on Thursday, June 29, 2017 (via People). "The man of my dreams will now only be in my dreams. I'll miss you everyday, forever. I love you my Pa," she wrote.
After getting her start on YouTube, Ryan starred in her very own sketch comedy show on VH1, Stevie TV (2012-2013). It was later canceled after just two seasons. Ryan later co-hosted the short-lived E! reality show Sex With Brody with Brody Jenner in 2015. She went on to co-host the podcast Mentally Ch(ill), described as a "podcast about depression."
Ryan's podcast co-host Kristen Carney tweeted a response to the news of Ryan's death on July 3, writing, "RIP @StevieRyan The coolest girl I've ever known."
