Dixie Chicks Singer Natalie Maines Divorcing Husband Adrian Pasdar

The lead singer of The Dixie Chicks has reportedly filed for divorce from her husband of 17 years.

According to TMZ, Natalie Maines is ending her marriage to Heroes actor Adrian Pasdar, citing irreconcilable differences. The two share two children together, sons aged 12 and 16. Maines is asking for joint custody.

TMZ notes that sources close to the couple have described the breakup as "amicable." A rep for Maines told the gossip site that they won't be commenting on the news, as it's a "private family matter."

Maines, 42, and Pasdar, 52, met at fellow Dixie Chick Emily Robison Strayer's wedding. Maines was a bridesmaid while Pasdar served as a groomsman. The two later got hitched in Las Vegas in June 2000. "We got the $29.95 special," Maines told TV Guide (via the Daily Mail) regarding her simple wedding to Pasdar. "They played Here Comes the Bride, we said 'I do,' wrote a check and split."
