The Real Life Partners Of The Cast Of Alaskan Bush People

The Discovery Channel show "Alaskan Bush People" has kept fans glued to the lives of the Brown family for 13 seasons. First airing in 2014, the show offers a unique look into life in the Alaskan wilderness. Fans have watched father Billy (until his death in 2021), mother Ami, and children Matt, Bam Bam, Bear, Gabe, Noah, Snowbird, and Rain. With plenty of scandals and controversy along the way, the cast of "Alaskan Bush People" have had their fair share of the reality TV spotlight.

The series has displayed some of the family's most vulnerable life moments on-screen, including their romantic interests, but what about their romantic lives and partners off-screen? While some cast members have no problem being open about their relationships, others prefer to keep that aspect of their lives under the radar. Read on to learn all about the real life partners of the "Alaskan Bush People" cast, and dig deeper into their love stories.

Matt Brown seems to be single

Eldest brother of the Brown family, Matt, has mostly been out of the spotlight since he left the show in Season 8. Prior to his departure from "Alaskan Bush People,” Brown openly struggled with alcohol use, going to rehab first in 2016, then two years later in 2018, per People. As Brown shared via his Instagram, he attributes his departure from the show — alongside other behaviors, like misusing alcohol — to micromanagement of his personal life by production, which ultimately led to conflict within his family. Brown has also been accused of sexual assault (via The Sun).

He mentioned on Instagram in April 2021 that he was in a relationship with an unknown married woman for three years. It started after Brown left Betty Ford rehab center. He said of the relationship, "I started messing around with a married woman, I fell in love with her, she fell in love with me, and it was wrong, it really was. This made my family think worse of me." Unfortunately, according to Brown himself, the relationship turned sour after the woman relapsed, and because of these circumstances, the Discovery star relocated to Washington.

As of 2022, Brown is estranged from his family, even after the death of his father, Billy, in 2021. In his free time, he keeps his 211,000 Instagram followers updated on his everyday activities.

Joshua 'Bam Bam' Brown got close to a field producer

According to In Touch, Bam Bam Brown met Allison Kagan while she was working as a field producer on "Alaskan Bush People" in November 2016, and their relationship blossomed from there. While the couple have mainly kept their relationship private, Brown did speak on finding love while filming the show around that time, saying he'd fallen "head over heels for a city girl." He revealed that his new love interest "stirred something inside me and made my soul wake up" (via The Sun).

In addition to her work on "Alaskan Bush People," Kagan has also worked for several other popular networks, including Bravo, MTV, TLC, and Lifetime, per her LinkedIn page. As a director and field producer, Kagan is credited with working on several fan-favorite shows, including "90 Day Fiancé," "Teen Mom 3," "16 and Pregnant," and "True Life," as noted on her IMDb page

Bear Brown tied the knot with his longtime girlfriend

Bear Brown met his wife Raiven Adams in 2018, while celebrating the wedding of his brother, Noah. Bear told People that Raiven's mother, Kassy Michelle, was in charge of photographing the special day, and Raiven accompanied her to help. "We just agreed we both felt a connection," he told the outlet. After meeting, they started dating shortly after, and were in an on-again, off-again relationship for years, first getting engaged in August 2019, but calling it off. After the announcement of Raiven's pregnancy that same month, Brown shared on Instagram that they were getting back together (via Radar), only to separate again. Following the birth of their son, River, in March 2020, their relationship was rocky, but the pair eventually reunited in August 2021, per The Sun.

Brown and Adams' relationship does have a happy ending, however, as they officially tied the knot on January 16, 2022, in the presence of their loved ones. On their marriage, Brown enthusiastically told People, "It feels really good to be a married man, I've loved Raiven a long time and it's a honor and a privilege to finally call her my wife. She is the most beautiful woman I've ever seen and still takes my breath away!" In that same tone, by her husband's side, Adams said, "Bear looked very handsome and I'm very grateful for the family we've made."

Gabe Brown is a happily married father of two

Gabe Brown is currently married to Raquell "Rose" Pantilla. The couple met through Brown's younger sister, Rain, and started dating on Valentine's Day in 2018, as reported by In Touch. After about a year of dating, the pair got married in a private ceremony in January 2019, with Brown's younger brother, Noah, officiating.

Brown and Pantilla had a second wedding ceremony in June 2019, with extended family and friends included. Brown spoke with People regarding the special day, saying, "I'm so happy my family, especially my mom, could be by our side on our special day. Raquell is my one true love and we're really grateful to have met each other. God is good."

The couple are now the parents to two children: Sophia (born in November 2019) and their second child (whose name is unknown) born in fall 2021, per Pantilla's Instagram. On October 17, 2021, she posted a close-up picture of the two children, and wrote in part, "Within the last month we've welcomed another addition to our family and Sophie is happy to be a big sister. Thank you for all your support and many blessings to the future." Though their relationship blossomed quickly, Pantilla and Brown seem to be very much in love and dedicated to each other.

Noah Brown met his wife during a difficult time

Noah Brown met his current wife, Rhain Alisha Merrill (born Ruth) in August 2016. At the same time that they met, Brown's mother and family matriarch, Ami, was just diagnosed with lung cancer. Merrill remained by his side, which Brown was grateful for. He shared a Facebook post detailing the significance of their relationship and her support, saying, "Rhain Alisha has been so patient and supporting [me] through everything that has been happening, my mothers cancer, having to leave Alaska, my car keeps breaking down, and all in all I have been thinking of how thankful I am that she moved in with [me] instead of going back to Oregon" (via In Touch).

Exactly two years after they met, the couple married in August 2018. They have two children together, Elijah (born January 2019) and Adam (born October 2021). Despite some run-of-the-mill reality family drama over Rhain sharing a first name with one of the Brown sisters, the pair remain as close as ever!

Brown sisters Snowbird and Rain keep their relationships private

In contrast to the men of the Brown family, sisters Amora Jean Brown, better known as Snowbird or Bird for short, and Rain keep their romantic lives private. While there hasn't been any indication of either being in a relationship, this hasn't stopped fans from speculating throughout the years.

Snowbird is supposedly single and dedicates her time to her family, specifically rebuilding the family ranch after it was destroyed by the Palmer Wildfires, which devastated the family filming location in Washington in 2020 (via InciWeb).

The youngest of the Brown family, Rain, also appears to be single. Though her romantic life is private, the 19-year-old does share a great deal of her life to the public, posting updates on social media sites including Instagram and TikTok. Outside of the show, Rain seems to live a simple life tending to the family ranch, and enjoys spending time with her Pomeranian, Jackson Maine, who has his own Instagram page!

Ami Brown is grieving the loss of husband, Billy

Ami Brown is the widow of Billy Brown, patriarch of the Brown family. The two met while living in Texas, and married in 1979 when Ami was 15 and Billy was 26, according to the marriage certificate Radar obtained. Brown had her first child, Matt, three years later at the age of 18, and had a total of six more children after that. After starting a family, the couple relocated from Texas to Alaska, and remained married until the sudden death of Billy Brown in February 2021, after he had a seizure. Billy was 68 years old (via People).

The widow asked son Bear to speak on Billy's death and address fan support on his private Instagram (via Screen Rant). Shortly after Billy's death, Bear's message included an expression of gratitude: "Hello everyone! My mom wanted me to personally thank everybody, for all this support in this very hard time! By far the hardest time my family, the Wolfpack! Has ever been through! We have received condolences from all over the world. So thank you to all y'all guys from all over the world! It means a lot to us!!! Be sure to tell the people closest to you, how much you love them!"

As of 2022, Ami does not seem to be in a new relationship and is still mourning the loss of Billy.
