The Linkin Park singer's death certificate has just been released to the public.

The certificate, which was obtained by TMZ, reveals that Chester Bennington's death has officially been ruled a suicide, adding that the star hanged himself with a belt. The document also notes that Bennington was found at 9:08 a.m. in his Palos Verdes Estates home in Los Angeles, Calif. on July 20, 2017.

Since his passing, fans and friends alike have expressed their condolences to his family, grieving over the loss of such an influential artist.

Linkin Park canceled their previously scheduled tour after learning of their bandmate's passing and later released a statement revealing their heartbreak.
