Willie Nelson Hospitalized After Experiencing Breathing Problems During Concert

The "On the Road Again" singer had a health scare during a performance on Sunday, Aug. 13, 2017.

According to Billboard, Willie Nelson had to stop his concert at the USANA Amphitheatre in Salt Lake City, Utah, after he had some difficulty breathing. The 84-year-old then left the stage and was reportedly transported to a local hospital.

"It just seemed like he was having a hard time keeping up with the band," a writer for Salt Lake Magazine told the NY Daily News.

As Rolling Stone reported, Nelson previously canceled shows in Arizona and New Mexico due to illness—so it's understandable why fans were so worried about the singer's health.

Luckily, however, Nelson seems to be doing alright. Around 1 a.m. ET on Aug. 14, he tweeted out a message to fans, attributing his health issues to "the altitude."

"This is Willie," he wrote. "I am sorry to have to cut the SLC show short tonight."

He added, "The altitude got to me I am feeling better now & headed for lower ground."

Glad to hear Nelson's doing well!
