Anna Faris Shares Relationship Advice Following Chris Pratt Split
Anna Faris just dished out some amazing relationship advice.
The Mom actress got candid on her weekly podcast Unqualified on Tuesday, Aug. 15, 2017. "Life is too short for you to be in relationships where you are not feeling like this isn't fully right or somebody doesn't have your back, or somebody doesn't fully value you in every way," she told a female caller, who was seeking advice after sharing some insecurities about her relationship (via ET). "Don't be afraid to feel your independence if things aren't right."
"For years, I would think of my identity through men," Faris revealed. "Don't be afraid of the future. I made that mistake, I think, a little bit, like 'I'm checking my relationship off the list' and if that would be the final piece of advice I could give you, that would be know your worth, know your independence. You are young and there is so much life experience, I hope you get to live it all."
At the top of the episode, Faris took a moment to thank her fans for their love and support after she and Chris Pratt announced their legal separation in early August 2017. "Hey, dear listeners," she began. "I just want to thank you all so much for all the love I've been receiving, and I truly love you."
As Nicki Swift previously reported, Faris and her Guardians of the Galaxy star husband made the joint announcement on social media after eight years of marriage. "Anna and I are sad to announce we are legally separating," the two wrote on Facebook. "We tried hard for a long time, and we're really disappointed. Our son [Jack, 5] has two parents who love him very much and for his sake we want to keep this situation as private as possible moving forward."
As they continued, "We still have love for each other, will always cherish our time together and continue to have the deepest respect for one another."
