Rod Stewart To Re-Release Hit Song With DNCE

The 72-year-old is about to drop another No.1 track.

Variety reports that Rod Stewart is teaming up with dance-pop group DNCE to release his hit song "Da Ya Think I'm Sexy." The single's scheduled for release on Friday, Aug. 25, 2017.

And that's not all—Stewart and DNCE, which is led by singer Joe Jonas, are reportedly getting ready for a collaborative performance at the 2017 MTV Video Music Awards on Sunday, Aug. 27.

Jonas, 28, announced the good news himself on Twitter, writing, "New version of 'Da Ya Think I'm Sexy' drops this Friday! SURPRISE!"

With "Swish Swish" singer Katy Perry hosting, the 2017 MTV VMAs is gearing up to be a must-see event. As Nicki Swift previously reported, a number of stars will be performing at the awards show, including Miley Cyrus, Ed Sheeran, Fifth Harmony, and Lorde. The Weeknd, 30 Seconds to Mars, Shawn Mendes, and host Perry will also be taking the stage.

The VMAs airs live from The Forum in Inglewood, Calif. at 8 p.m. ET/PT on Aug. 27.
