Channing Tatum Helps A Fan Propose

One lucky fan actually had Magic Mike on his side when he popped the question on Wednesday, Aug. 23, 2017.

According to People, the hunky actor helped a caller, Joss, propose to his girlfriend, Emily, over the phone during an interview with BBC Radio 1's Nick Grimshaw.

After a brief introduction by Tatum, Joss then told Emily, "Yeah, hello. I love you." Clearly nervous, Joss then launched into his touching marriage proposal by saying, "You know you look after me, and I'd do anything for you. I would go to the end of the earth for you...and I had to take this opportunity to ask if you'll marry me."

Emily's dad even happened to be with her. When asked what he thought, he joked, "You could do better."

Emily then said, "Yes, yes I will." The newly engaged couple later extended wedding invitations to both Tatum and Grimshaw.

Tatum also shared his own proposal story during the interview, and it was even less romantic than a brief call-in to a radio show.

The Logan Lucky star's less-than-brilliant idea for proposing to Jenna Dewan was to "throw her off" by first telling her that he "never wanted to get married." So, he told her that he didn't "believe int he institution of marriage," which resulted in Dewan bursting into tears. "I thought, 'This is not going so well at all' so I had to propose to her sooner than later," Tatum told Grimshaw.

Yeesh. Not the smoothest start, but, obviously, it all worked out for both Tatum and Dewan, who have now been married for almost nine years.
