Lil Wayne Found Unconscious, Rushed To Hospital

The rapper suffered a major health scare during Labor Day weekend.

TMZ reports that Lil Wayne (real name Dwayne Michael Carter, Jr.) was sent to the hospital after being found unconscious in his Chicago hotel room on Sunday, Sept. 4, 2017. The gossip site noted that he had at least one seizure in his room at the Westin on Michigan Avenue and another once he reached Northwestern Memorial.

According to TMZ, Wayne's crew wanted to have him discharged by the afternoon so that he could perform at his scheduled show in Las Vegas. However, doctors have reportedly warned them against doing so, as they believe that Wayne, who has epilepsy, should remain grounded after having multiple seizures.

Wayne, 34, has been hospitalized for his epilepsy in the past. In 2016, he suffered a seizure while onboard his private jet. The plane was forced to make an emergency landing, and he was transported to the hospital.

Ultimately, Wayne's Las Vegas show was canceled. The rapper is reportedly resting.
