Taylor Swift Congratulates Cardi B After Rapper Snags No. 1 Spot

The "Look What You Made Me Do" singer doesn't seem too upset at losing her top spot on the charts.

On Monday, Sept. 25, 2017, Cardi B's song "Bodak Yellow" took the No. 1 spot on the Billboard Hot 100 chart, stealing the spot from Taylor Swift. And while some may have been upset that their favorite country singer-turned-pop star lost out, others celebrated Cardi B's achievement–including Swift herself.

The 27-year-old apparently sent Cardi B (real name Belcalis Almanzar) a sweet gift to congratulate the rapper and former Love & Hip Hop star on her amazing feat, which Cardi B was only too excited to share on social media. Posting a Boomerang video of her smiling next to a huge bouquet of flowers on Instagram, Cardi B wrote, "Sooo beautiful and lovely .Thank you @taylorswift for the flowers."

The 24-year-old added, "...and I freaking love your music."

Cardi B's big Billboard win is a major achievement. As Vulture noted, she's the first female rapper to snag the No. 1 spot with a solo track since Lauryn Hill, who took the spot in 1998 with her song "Doo-Wop (That Thing)." Cardi B is also only the fifth female rapper to lead the charts—ever!

Congrats to Cardi B!
