Celebrity Daughters Who Grew Up To Be Gorgeous

Their parents have some of the most aesthetic genes on the planet, so it only makes sense that these celebrity daughters grew up to be beautiful and bright. Fair warning: this post is about to make you feel really, really really old.

Ava Phillippe (Reese Witherspoon & Ryan Phillippe)

Reese Witherspoon's firstborn, Ava Phillippe, has become the spitting image of her Oscar-winning mother. Witherspoon gushed about her 16-year-old daughter with her ex-husband, actor Ryan Phillippe, to Us Weekly in 2016, admitting, "She's so much cooler than I am! She's very cutting-edge, and she knows a lot about fashion, and she has her own sense of style, which is amazing." In fact, she's so cool, Witherspoon says she consults her on what to wear out. "We try to kind of confer about new styles," she said. "She tells me whether or not I can wear things."

Dylan Penn (Robin Wright & Sean Penn)

The genetic combo of actor parents Sean Penn and Robin Wright has proved lucrative for Dylan Penn's modeling career. She was featured in fashion spreads from Elle to GQ, then switched lanes to try her hand at her parents' craft. She landed the lead role in the horror flick Condemned (2015) as well as indie film Unfiltered (2016). Before you go thinking this career path seems too silver spoon-ish, please note that Dylan's resume also includes a stint delivering pizzas. "I did that for about seven months," a 24-year-old Dylan told The Daily Beast in 2015. "I dropped out of USC after a semester, and my parents told me I was financially cut off. So my godfather owns a pizza place in Westwood by UCLA, and offered me a job. And I delivered pizzas."

Lily-Rose Depp (Vanessa Paradis & Johnny Depp)

Lily-Rose Depp, the daughter of exes Johnny Depp and Vanessa Paradis, is already following in her mother's modeling footsteps and dad's acting shoes. In 2015, at age 16, she officially became an ambassador for Chanel and the face of the label's Pearl eyewear collection, starred in a Rejjie Snow music video, and kick-started an acting career. Her father spoke about his daughter's star-is-born year in a 2015 interview with the Daily Mail, saying, "What's happening to Lily-Rose is something that I didn't expect to happen this early, that's for sure!...She's been snatched up by Karl Lagerfeld—which is a coincidence, as he spotted her mother when she was the same age, too—and when I see her with make-up and all that stuff, it's really disturbing, because she's a very beautiful girl, and it's all happening so fast."

Hailie Jade Scott Mathers (Kim Mathers & Eminem)

Eminem's daughter, Hailie—you know, the one he rapped about on "Hailie's Song" in 2002—has become so attractive, she makes headlines just by changing her Twitter profile photo. Even better: she's also got brains to back up her good looks. The high school homecoming queen, who'll turn 20 in 2016, is reportedly attending Michigan State University. According to E! News, she finished high school with a 3.9 GPA and said she owes her success to her mom, Kim Mathers, and dad who "pushed me to be the person I am and have given me all the support to achieve what I have."

Lourdes Leon (Madonna & Carlos Leon)

In March 2016, Madonna's daughter, Lourdes Leon, made her modeling debut as one of the faces for Stella McCartney's Pop perfume line. In the campaign, Leon—who apparently goes by "Lola" now—is sporting long lilac hair instead of her typical black locks. She also shows off tattoos on her fingers that read "Mom" and "Dad." Dad, by the way, is personal trainer Carlos Leon.

"The campaign marks the first time that the 19-year-old has willfully stepped into the spotlight, after a life spent carefully limiting her contact with the paparazzi and mainstream media," reported Vogue. Lourdes, who turned 20 in 2016, said she liked the fragrance line's message of self-acceptance. "I go through this struggle myself, [where] women's bodies have been made so public that everyone feels like they need to comment," she said. "I love when someone doesn't pretend to be someone they are not."

Kaia Gerber (Cindy Crawford & Rande Gerber)

It should come as no surprise that Kaia Gerber, daughter of supermodel Cindy Crawford and model-turned-nightlife entrepreneur Rande Gerber, already has Vogue wondering if she's modeling's next big thing. Kaia has landed photo shoots with the likes of Steven Meisel and Mario Testino, and in February 2016, at age 14, she posed for the luxury accessories brand Chrome Hearts. If her mom's career is any indication, we have a feeling Kaia will be catching our eye for decades to come.

Ireland Baldwin (Kim Basinger & Alec Baldwin)

Another celebrity kid who grew up to become a model: Ireland Baldwin, aka the daughter of actress Kim Basinger and actor Alec Baldwin. Signed to DT Model Management—which, coincidentally, also reps Dylan Penn—the former IMG Model has graced the pages of W, Vanity Fair and Elle. Unfortunately, Baldwin's foray into the spotlight has not been a smooth one. She spent a few weeks in rehab in 2015, at age 19, for what People magazine described as "emotional trauma."

Hailey Baldwin (Kennya Baldwin & Stephen Baldwin)

Ireland's cousin, Hailey, is also a fashion model. She's the daughter of actor Stephen Baldwin and Brazillian wife Kennya, but celebrity gossip gurus know her best as model/reality sensation Kendall Jenner's best friend and the subject of endless rumors about a romance with pop prince Justin Bieber. The Biebs claimed Baldwin is "someone I really love" in a 2016 interview with GQ; but a 19-year-old Baldwin later told E! News that they were not an exclusive couple. (Sigh.) Kids today.

Harley Quinn Smith (Jennifer Schwalbach Smith & Kevin Smith)

Filmmaker Kevin Smith may not be—uh, how do we put this lightly?—George Clooney in the looks department. However, his teenage daughter with former journalist Jennifer Schwalbach Smith is already making headlines with her budding acting career and gorgeous looks. Harley, who turned 17 in 2016, is making a name for herself after appearing in a number of her dad's movies, as well as a 2016 TV pilot called Hollyweed. She even had an uncredited cameo in 2004's Jersey Girl, starring Ben Affleck and Jennifer Lopez. The fact that she survived that cinematic disaster unscathed should give Harley a free pass in Hollywood for life.

Maya Thurman-Hawke (Uma Thurman & Ethan Hawke)

Maya Thurman-Hawke, the daughter of thespians Uma Thurman and Ethan Hawke, is living the life of every teenage fashionista's dreams. In 2015, at age 16, she stunned at the CFDA Fashion Awards in a floral Zac Posen gown and even attended the event as the designer's big date. Thurman-Hawke is also reported to be pursuing an acting career. According to Variety, director Sofia Coppola walked away from the live-action The Little Mermaid reboot in 2015 after the studio wouldn't let her cast Thurman-Hawke in the lead. Damn, this kid is already wielding a lot of Tinseltown influence.

Eve Hewson (Ali Hewson & Bono)

Eve Hewson, who plays young nurse Lucy Elkins on Cinemax's The Knick (2014-), is the daughter of U2 frontman Bono and Irish activist Ali Hewson. The rocker's kid, who turned 25 in 2016, is already proving she can stand on her own two feet. In addition to the Emmy-nominated TV series, Hewson has appeared in big-name movies Bridge of Spies (2015) and Enough Said (2013). She's also set to play Maid Marian in Robin Hood: Origins, opposite Taron Egerton and Jamie Foxx, due out in 2017.

Sofia Richie (Diane Alexander & Lionel Richie)

Even though she's the daughter of multiple grammy award-winning musician Lionel Richie and his second wife, former dancer and fashion designer Diane Alexander, Sofia Richie never found herself more in the public eye than she did during her brief romance with Justin Bieber. And it's no surprise why Sofia caught the "Baby" singer's eye. The gorgeous teen, who turned 18 in 2016, has been modeling since she was 16, with major credits under her belt like Elle, Vanity Fair Italia, and Vogue China. She also keeps a remarkably low-key social media presence despite claiming to be BFFs with reality star and Instagram sensation, Kylie Jenner. It seems Richie chooses to show off her love of fashion rather than bikini selfies like her aforementioned peer. That low-key attitude doesn't extend to Sofia's career aspirations. In an interview with ET, she said her biggest goals are "a Vogue cover, a clothing line, and to get married." Beauty, brains, and ambition—should have held on to that one, Biebs.

Alexa Ray Joel (Christie Brinkley & Billy Joel)

Alexa Ray Joel doesn't bear a striking resemblance to her supermodel mom, Christie Brinkley, but that doesn't mean she isn't an absolute knockout in her own right. Alexa admits that having one of the most famous supermodels in the world as a mom does come with certain perks. She told Fox News Magazine, "She's taught me a lot about just taking care of yourself— kin care, great makeup tricks. She's very good at putting together that very effortless-style look." Alexa's genetics are more apparent when compared to her dad, singer Billy Joel, whose eyes and smile were clearly passed on to her. She also inherited her father's musical inclination and is now following in his footsteps, describing herself on Instagram as a "Songwriter, Songstress, Pianist, Poetess." Alexa, who turns 31 in 2016, seems squarely focused on her singing career, having weathered a public scandal involving an alleged overdose and a controversy over her nose job. After intense public scrutiny, Alexa admitted during a Good Morning America interview to having rhinoplasty, although she said it wasn't a big secret, just you know, none of anyone's business!

Sailor Brinkley Cook (Christie Brinkley & Peter Cook)

Sailor Brinkley Cook is Alexa Ray Joel's half-sister and daughter to Christie Brinkley and her fourth husband, architect Peter Cook. Born in 1998, she is the spitting-image of her mother, so it's no surprise that she's pursuing a modeling career, but her life isn't all makeup commercials and runways. In a profile for Town & Country, Sailor admitted that doors aren't just flying open for her. "It can be hard to be up-and-coming and constantly compared to an icon," she said, which is why she's hedging her bets by working towards a college degree as well.

Sailor is also active on Twitter, and she had a viral moment when she used her Instagram to shut down online bullies who disparaged her burgeoning modeling career. It's kind of unbelievable, but there were more than a few people telling her that she'll never make it, or at the very least, she'll never live up to her mom, to which Sailor replied, in part, "Yes i am so fortunate that my mother is my mother.. And she will always be an inspiration to me... But being constantly compared to her 50+ years of success at only 18 years old? And being told I could never amount to what she was and what she looks like? Doesn't feel great. I just will never understand these people who WANT to make me feel badly, who WANT to tell an 18 year old girl she cant follow her dreams because if she does she WONT BE AS GOOD AS HER MOM WAS. I'm just a person figuring out what i want to do and what makes me happy. Leave me alone." Well said, Sailor.

Georgia May Jagger (Jerry Hall & Mick Jagger)

Born to rock superstar Mick Jagger and supermodel Jerry Hall, Georgia May Jagger was destined for not only blessed genetics, but also a wild life. She spent it either on tour with The Rolling Stones or traveling the world for her mother's modeling gigs. By the time Georgia was 18, she'd already "closed the runway show for Chanel's resort collection, landed a three-year contract with Hudson Jeans, shot a campaign for Rimmel London cosmetics, and been named Model of the Year by the British Fashion Council," according to Harper's Bazaar. She turned 24 in 2016, and is already a veteran of the business, having anchored multiple high profile campaigns, been featured on the covers of countless magazines, and appeared in the closing ceremony of the London 2012 Olympics. Her love of the camera also extends behind it, as she's become a photographer as well, showing her work at an exhibition during London Fashion Week in 2015. For having a childhood that could have easily resulted in a wild party life gone wrong, or at the very least, a lazy snooze in the lap of luxury, Georgia has clearly left those cliches in the dust.

Ava Sambora (Heather Locklear & Richie Sambora)

Now in her fifties, Heather Locklear is still a stunner, but as model-turned-star of 80s television, she was one of the definitive beauties of the era. Her daughter, Ava Sambora, who bears the last name of her Bon Jovi rocker dad, Richie Sambora, is following closely in her mom's footsteps. Just like Locklear, Ava began modeling at a young age. She walked her first runway in 2010 at just 12 years old, appearing in her dad's White Trash Beautiful show. Since then, Ava has become the face of the swimwear line Baes and Bikinis, posed for a shoot for 138 Water that went viral, and launched an acting career with roles in This Is 40 (2012) and Good Luck Charlie (2010-2014). Ava, who turned 19 in 2016, is nearly the age her mom was when she got her big break and transitioned from modeling to acting via an appearance on CHiPs (1977-83), and eventually a starring role on Dynasty (1981-89). While Ava's career path is certainly tracking alongside her mama's, we're sure she's forging her own future and has more big things to come.

Willow Smith (Will Smith & Jada Pinkett Smith)

Daughter of Will and Jada Pinkett Smith, and sister of self-proclaimed philosopher Jaden Smith, Willow Smith wasn't even out of elementary school before becoming a star. Her 2010 single, "Whip My Hair," was a viral sensation for her at age 9. The song eventually peaked at No. 11 on Billboard's Hot 100, sparking a music career and a deal with Roc Nation, Jay Z's record label. But music isn't her only passion. Like her brother, Willow is also into philosophy, reading, writing, and probably above all, fashion. She's started designing t-shirts for Jaden's fashion line, MSFTSrep, but she has also signed with The Society Management and landed campaigns with Louis Vuitton and Chanel. She'll turn 16 in 2016, but before you go thinking she's just a kid and doesn't have the maturity for that kind of thing, check out the deep thoughts she threw at Pharrell Williams when he questioned her for Interview Magazine. "This morning actually was pretty intense because I was thinking about the world and my place in the world, things that I have made or want to make. I was thinking about all the things that I could do that I don't do. But, you know, I was just thinking about the world and everything."

Eva Amurri Martino (Susan Sarandon & Franco Amurri)

It's obvious that actress Eva Amurri inherited a lot from her actress mom, Susan Sarandon, and director father, Franco Amurri. The eyes and smile are undeniably Sarandon, but Eva caught the acting bug as well. While she isn't taking on the kind of prestige work that earned her mother multiple awards, including an Oscar for best actress, Eva has a strong list of recognizable credits to her name with TV shows such as Californication (2007-2014), The Mindy Project (2012-), and Undateable (2014-16). When a 29-year-old Eva became a mom herself in 2014, giving birth to daughter Marlowe Mae, her mother was right by her side. Well, actually, she was even closer than that. Sarandon described her role in her granddaughter's delivery to E! News. "I caught her, which is so much easier than pushing one out," she said. "I was there for the birth. [Eva] had a 36-hour home birth. Yeah, I know, it was like a National Geographic special of some sort and the baby...I was there and then we put it on her stomach and she crawled to the breast. Did you that know a baby could do that? I didn't." Wow, it looks like strength and beauty run in the family.

Greer Grammer (Barrie Buckner & Kelsey Grammer)

Greer Grammer is the daughter of actor Kelsey Grammer and makeup artist Barrie Buckner. Though she's probably not recognized immediately as Frasier's daughter, since she doesn't bear a strong a resemblance to him, that's probably a good thing. Greer, who turned 24 in 2016, must have gotten her good looks from her mom, which helped her, in part, earn pageant crowns in Miss Teen Malibu two years in a row as well as Miss Regional California Teen USA in 2011. Right around that time, Greer started acting, eventually landing a starring role on MTV's Awkward (2011-16). Another big break came in 2015 when Greer was asked to be Miss Golden Globe, which exposed her to an international audience of millions and made her mamma very proud. Greer told the Los Angeles Times, "If my mom would be at the grocery store and someone asked her 'How's Greer?' she would say, 'Oh, she's great, she's Miss Golden Globe!"

Corinne Foxx (Jamie Foxx & ?)

Another famous actor's offspring to receive the honor of being Miss Golden Globe is Corinne Foxx, the beautiful daughter of Oscar-winning actor Jamie Foxx. A 21-year-old Corinne told People about her dad's over-the-top response to hearing the news that she'd share the stage in 2016 with Hollywood's biggest and brightest. "My dad, he's a little bit emotional. He won't admit it, but he had tears in his eyes and he was so happy for me to kind of have my own thing now," she said. As for where Corinne gets her stunning features, that remains a partial mystery. Obviously Jamie is no slouch in the looks department, but both he and Corinne have kept her mother's identity a mystery. Somewhat perplexingly, Jamie offered Oprah this explanation: "It's just so cool and calm and that's all you need. I need somebody who's not thirsty for what I do. Whoever you date, don't let anybody know. To me, in order to make it in this business, it has to be someone who is willing to sacrifice a little bit more than what they would sacrifice in a normal relationship." Cool, so Corinne's mom is beautiful, not in the entertainment biz, and willing to never have Jamie publicly acknowledge her as his baby mama. Sounds a bit strange, but it seems to work for them, so who are we to judge?

Gigi & Bella Hadid (Mohamed Hadid & Yolanda Foster)

Despite an overblown dust-up over veteran supermodel Stephanie Seymour jokingly calling these sisters the "b****es of the moment," models Gigi and Bella Hadid are crushing it in the fashion world. On top of her long list of modeling credits, Gigi, who turned 21 in 2016, has her own collaboration with Tommy Hilfiger called Tommy x Gigi, and her sister, Bella, who turned 20 in 2016, has walked the runway for major designers including Fendi, Versace, and Dior. Their dad, Mohamed Hadid, is a billionaire real estate behemoth with a fortune of some $200 billion, and their mom, Yolanda Foster, was a model and actress who is now perhaps best known for her role on The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills. Yolanda fiercely and publicly defended her girls against Seymour's catty remarks, but she may have invited further criticism with a slightly tone-deaf presentation of her daughters' down-to-earth upbringing. She told E! News, "At the end of the day, both Gigi and Bella are simple girls that were raised on a farm in Santa Barbara, riding horses every day of their lives." Yeah, not exactly "started from the bottom now we're here" type of stuff, but we get it.
