Taylor Swift Announces Brand New Social App For Fans
Good news for Swifties—they'll soon have a special way of communicating with their favorite artist!
On Oct. 11, 2017, Taylor Swift announced that she'll soon be launching a social app just for her fans. In a video on her YouTube channel, the 27-year-old introduced her followers to The Swift Life, which was made to be a "creative, inclusive and community-driven place for users to better connect with each other... and Taylor."
But the app won't just be a way for fans to get in touch with other Swifties and maybe even Swift herself. The app will also boast "Taymojis" (emojis featuring Swift's likeness) as well as play music and release exclusive photos and videos from Swift.
"I think you guys are really going to like this," the singer said. "I mean—I hope. It would... it would be preferable if you did."
Though no official release date has been announced, The Swift Life is due out in late 2017. Considering that her upcoming album, Reputation, is scheduled to drop on Nov. 10, we'd bet that the app would be released sometime afterwards.
Swift's been headlines in the days leading up to her big app announcement for her commenting on fans' Instagram posts and joining their live streams (via BuzzFeed). She even visited one lucky fan in the U.K., taking photos with her and delivering a package of Reputation merch.
While we wait to find out when The Swift Life will be released, catch up on all of the small details you missed in Swift's video for "Look What You Made Me Do."
