Tennis Star Andy Murray, Wife Kim Sears Welcome Second Child

It's a girl!

According to E! News, Sir Andy Murray and his wife, Kim Sears, have welcomed baby number two. At the time of this writing, not much information has been released. However, it is believed that their new daughter was born in England a few days ago, and that both baby and mom are doing well. The cute pair welcomed their first child, daughter Sophia, in February 2016, and announced they were expecting again in June 2017.

Murray's grandmother, Shirley Erskine, told the BBC on Wednesday, Nov. 8, 2017 that she was "delighted" about the baby's arrival, adding, "All's well, which is the main thing."

"She's a little playmate for Sophia, who I'm sure will be equally thrilled," she continued, while remaining mum on the little one's name. "I'm sure they've got that all worked out. We'll find out this weekend. I don't really know much at the moment because we haven't seen her. But we're looking forward to having a little cuddle and a little play with Sophia, who is running about all over the place and chattering."

Less than 24 hours before the baby news hit, Murray played Roger Federer in a charity match in Glasgow. When asked if her grandchildren may one day follow in their father's footsteps as Wimbledon partners, Erskine said with a laugh, "Not in our lifetime unfortunately — but we'd like to think so."

Murray, 30, and Sears, 29, married in April 2015. The gorgeous affair took place in the tennis star's hometown of Dunblane, Scotland at the 12th-century Dunblane Cathedral. The two announced their engagement the year before.

Congratulations to the family of four!
