Legendary Gossip Columnist Liz Smith Dies At 94
Liz Smith, the famed New York gossip columnist, has died at 94.
Smith's literary agent, Joni Evans, confirmed to the Associated Press that Smith died of natural causes on Nov. 12, 2017.
Widely known as "The Grand Dame of Dish," Smith wrote an eponymous column for a variety of publications, such as The New York Post, The Huffington Post, and The New York Daily News for over 30 years.
"We mustn't take ourselves too seriously in this world of gossip," Smith told the AP in 1987. "When you look at it realistically, what I do is pretty insignificant. Still, I'm having a lot of fun."
Our thoughts are with Smith's family during this difficult time.
