How Did Danielle And Mohamed From 90 Day Fiancé Meet?
The public first met Danielle Mullins Jbali and Mohamed Jbali on Season 2 of TLC's reality television series "90 Day Fiancé," when single mother Danielle — one of the first American women featured on the series — brought fiancé Mohamed Jbali to the United States from his home country, Tunisia. As viewers of the season might recall, Danielle and Mohamed got married within the 90 days, but the marriage didn't last. The two eventually got a divorce, though they apparently reconciled. In June 2022, Danielle posted a photo of herself with Mohamed to her Instagram account and said in the caption that they were "friends after everything" and that their friendship showed that "anything is possible."
Before Mohamed ever landed in the United States on his K-1 visa, though, the couple began their relationship not without the scrutiny of TLC viewers. Though their relationship quickly became a unique one in the history of "90 Day Fiancé" couples, the way in which Danielle and Mohamed met was surprisingly normal.
Danielle and Mohamed met online
Like many couples before and after them, Danielle Mullins Jbali and Mohamed Jbali met on the internet. From the first description of the couple ahead of the premiere of Season 2 of "90 Day Fiancé," it was known that Danielle and Mohamed met in an online chatroom (via The Wrap).
In their introductions in a video on the "90 Day Fiancé" YouTube channel, Mohamed recalls that the couple began to share "some personal things" with one another, which ultimately began their relationship. Danielle, in the same video, shared that one of her "biggest concerns" with Mohamed was that she "had to build up [her] trust with him," and she added that she was also concerned about the age difference between them. (The description of the couples given on The Wrap notes that at the time that Season 2 premiered, Danielle was 41, while Mohamed was over a decade younger at 26.)
Age, however, never seemed to bother Mohamed. In an Instagram post, he once wrote, "Younger guys should be with older women to learn and older guys should be with younger girls [because] they are mature. True or not" (via In Touch Weekly). He also noted that "I'm not perfect. Don't take me as an example." Fascinating!
Both have moved on with their lives since their divorce
Following their divorce, both Danielle Mullins Jbali and Mohamed Jbali have moved on with their lives. As shown on Danielle's Instagram page, she has graduated from an academic program to qualify as a licensed practical nurse (also known as an LPN). On her Instagram account, she still uses her married name, Jbali. Danielle has also appeared on the "90 Day Fiancé" spin-off series "90 Day Fiancé: The Single Life," but In Touch Weekly reports that she is no longer in a relationship with Robert, the man whom she was dating on the show.
According to a separate article from In Touch Weekly, Mohamed Jbali has moved to Indianapolis, Indiana, after previously residing in Austin, Texas. The outlet reports that Mohamed is continuing to work as a truck driver, a job that he had previously discussed in a Facebook post to fans.
In the post, Mohamed opined that "This job is not an easy job even if it looks like just traveling from a state to [another while] listening to your favorite music and watching beautiful sceneries right and left." He did admit, however, that seeing his bank account grow made his troubles worth it. Outside of interstate travels, Mohamed has also shared on Facebook that he is the proud owner of an Akita named Bowie.
