What You Didn't Know About Emma Chamberlain's Coffee Company

Fans of coffee and Emma Chamberlain alike were no doubt delighted back in 2019, when the influencer revealed that she was launching her own coffee brand — but what more do we know about Chamberlain Coffee?

Like other business-minded influencers before her, Chamberlain's creative juices started flowing when she realized how many of her followers were coming to her with coffee-related questions. "So often my fans will ask me what coffee shop they should go to in their hometowns, since they might not have all the options that I have here in LA," she revealed in a press release, via Just Jared Jr.. Not one to let the opportunity slip by — and perhaps spurred on by a fabulous blend of the caffeine beans — the YouTuber got to work on her very own coffee brand. "I took these messages to heart and challenged myself to make a product for my fans to receive some of my favorite coffee and coffee products, no matter where they live."

Just like that, Chamberlain's eponymous coffee brand was born, and so far, it's received rave reviews. This summer, StyleCaster ran a profile on the brand's best offerings, concluding that everything sampled was top tier. Likewise, late last year, fellow YouTuber Alia Zaita gushed over the brand to her 323,000 subscribers. "I'm not exaggerating ... I'm being completely honest — I really like all of them," she insisted. So, what else is there to know?

Chamberlain Coffee just got a major investment

It's not just fans who love Emma Chamberlain's coffee — it's big time investors with impressive track records, too. In August, Forbes revealed that Chamberlain Coffee had scored a cool $7 million in funding in its startup phase. According to the publication, investors included among others Nik Sharma. For reference, Sharma was one of the investors in another YouTuber's ventures, MrBeast's Feastibles Inc.

It certainly doesn't hurt that on top of Chamberlain's visibility, she also has a pretty noteworthy CEO at the helm. That would be a past RedBull executive, Christopher Gallant. However, that's not to say the seasoned caffeine exec has taken over every aspects of the brand. Far from it, he made a point of telling the outlet that Chamberlain was, "Still heavily involved from creative, product development, and marketing standpoints."

That Chamberlain is heavily involved in her business probably shouldn't come as a surprise. After all, this isn't her first, or only, rodeo. Far from it, last year Variety shone a spotlight on her foray into real estate investing, which saw her sell a $4.3 million home at a profit. Plus, let's not forget that in 2019, she was named one of Time's 100 Next. Or that in 2021, she was listed as one of Forbes' 30 Under 30. Let's face it: Chamberlain Coffee is just one part of her rise and rise.

But above all, Chamberlain Coffee is a passion project

There's no denying that Chamberlain Coffee is destined for big things. However, according to the founder herself, it's first and foremost a passion project.

Emma Chamberlain has long spoken about her coffee brand being a dream come true. Speaking to Vox back in 2020, the YouTuber revealed that she'd fallen in love with the rituals around coffee as a child, and as such, it's always held a special place in her heart. That said, she didn't even realize just how big a part of her life it was until after she'd started her journey as a content creator. "It became such a big part of my brand without me realizing it or meaning to do that," she told the outlet. Intentional or not, though, when her team suggested a business venture in the space, she didn't need to think twice. "I was like 'Yes, that's my dream. That's all I've ever wanted,'" she said.

Two years on, nothing has changed, and Chamberlain is just as passionate about her coffee business as she was at the start of the journey. Speaking to Forbes in the wake of the latest investment, she shared, "Chamberlain Coffee feels like an extension of myself, and getting to work on something that I feel so connected to has been so rewarding."
