How Jennifer Garner Really Feels About Prince Harry And Meghan Markle
Since leaving the United Kingdom to live a life separate from the royal family, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have shared glimpses of their life together here and there. They have done this through interviews and photos released of their children, but they no longer do so on their former Instagram, @sussexroyal, as the account went dormant after they stepped down from their duties as senior members of the royal family.
But, about one month after they left that social media account in 2020, Meghan and Harry shared a video in support of the organization Save the Children, according to Harper's Bazaar. The video was to highlight the #SaveWithStories campaign, which supports kids impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic in the US and UK. The video, which was posted to the @SaveWithStories account, showed Meghan reading their son Archie Harrison his favorite book, "Duck! Rabbit!"
But interestingly, the big account that reshared the video was none other than Jennifer Garner's. The "13 Going on 30" star is a supporter of not just the organization Meghan and Harry were uplifting, but also of the couple themselves.
Jennifer Garner is a big fan of Meghan Markle and Prince Harry
As Harper's Bazaar reported, Meghan Markle and Prince Harry made the video as a celebration of Archie's first birthday, too, as he was born on May 6, 2019. And while Jennifer Garner may seem like a random choice of celebrity to post a personal video of the former senior royal family members, it's actually because Garner is also a Save the Children supporter.
"Dear Meghan and Harry, Thank you for sharing your gorgeous son with the world and allowing us to join you in celebrating his first birthday," Garner said in her caption for the sweet video, where Prince Harry recorded Meghan reading Archie the book. "We are humbled and grateful that you chose @savewithstories to mark this special day and in so doing — have raised the visibility of @savethechildren's work in the US and UK and have helped feed and educate children in desperate need of both."
As Entertainment Tonight reported, the #SaveWithStories initiative was created by Garner and Amy Adams. It partners with No Kid Hungry and Save the Children, specifically, to aid kids whose schools closed and left them struggling during the pandemic. Garner concluded by saying Meghan's video "lifts all of us up and reminds us that what may seem like a duck just might turn out to be a rabbit. Thank you for this joyful and meaningful shift in perspective. Best, Jen."
Jennifer Garner and Meghan Markle have similar taste in fashion
Outside of her gratitude to Meghan Markle for boosting the Save With Stories campaign, Jennifer Garner has also been a fan of the duchess for some time — and that includes a couple of fashion connections to Meghan, too. On August 20, 2018, Garner received a coveted star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame (via Marie Claire). And, as W Magazine reported, the "13 Going on 30" star wore an asymmetrical navy blue Roland Mouret dress to the event. This is the exact same dress that Meghan wore the day before her wedding to Prince Harry, on her way to tea with Queen Elizabeth II.
And that wasn't the only time Garner used Meghan as a pseudo-fashion inspiration. According to Yahoo, Garner wore Veja sneakers in 2021 — the same type of shoe that Meghan popularized. Reportedly after Meghan wore white V-10 Veja sneakers, the brand sold out. So even though Garner wore the light blue versions, the fact that it's the same brand wasn't lost on eagle-eyed fans.
