Jackass Star Bam Margera Heads To Rehab Following DUI Arrest

The TV star is getting the help he needs.

According to Page Six, Bam Margera is heading to rehab only days after allegedly driving under the influence.

"He decided to go to rehab in LA so we're putting that program into place," his mother, April, told the website on Tuesday, Jan. 9, 2018. "How long he stays is to be determined but he'll want to keep that private."

"He feels a lot better," she continued. "He had a bad night. He's embarrassed by it. He's mad at himself for being stupid. Now he just wants to pick up the pieces and move forward for himself and for his family."

"As parents we're trying to step back right now and let this person that we trust and other trusted professionals take over," the former Jackass star's concerned mom added. "Don't be so quick to judge other people. Everybody has a different story and everybody is going through different things. It's not an instant fix. He's been seeing therapists. There are going to be hiccups when you're battling addiction. You're not going to be 100 percent successful the first time. He's getting a handle and the upside of this thing. He's learning as he goes."

As Nicki Swift previously reported, Margera, who previously opened up about his struggles with alcohol and bulimia, was initially stopped by California police due to a cell phone violation early Sunday, Jan. 7. However, cops administered a field sobriety test after noticing possible signs of intoxication, before arresting the pro skateboarder for an alleged DUI.

The 38-year-old, who welcomed son Phoenix Wolf with wife Nicole in December 2017, was released around 2:30 p.m. that same day after posting bail for $15,000.
