Anna Faris, Chris Pratt Reportedly Developed A 'Nice Friendship' Following Split

It sounds like Anna Faris and Chris Pratt are getting along great amid their divorce.

According to an Entertainment Tonight exclusive, published on Wednesday, March 28, 2018, the former couple are amicably co-parenting their son, 5-year-old Jack, as he starts school.

"They both went on school tours as a family and you'd never know that Anna and Chris were not together," a source told the publication. "They seemed like a happy couple and a happy family with Jack."

The insider added, "They still laugh and joke together and have seemed to have found a nice friendship as they co-parent. They are really committed to making this split as easy on Jack as they can, helping him adjust to a big kid school is part of that."

As Nicki Swift previously reported, Faris, 41, and Pratt, 38, announced their separation after eight years of marriage in August 2017. "Anna and I are sad to announce we are legally separating," the two wrote on Facebook. "We tried hard for a long time, and we're really disappointed. Our son has two parents who love him very much and for his sake we want to keep this situation as private as possible moving forward."

Their statement continued, "We still have love for each other, will always cherish our time together and continue to have the deepest respect for one another."

They officially filed for divorce in December of that year, both citing irreconcilable differences and requesting joint custody of their son.

Earlier this week, the Mom star admitted that she's not sure if she still believes in marriage after she and her Parks and Recreation star ex called it quits. She was also previously married to Ben Indra between 2004 and 2008.

"I am a romantic. I believe in a partnership, I believe in companionship. I just don't know if I believe in a ceremony of a wedding," Faris revealed on Dax Shepard's Armchair Expert podcast. "I need to figure out what the purpose is. Is it safety for your children? Is it convention? Is it so other people respect your relationship more? For me, I'm just not quite sure where it fits."

Of her and Pratt's relationship, she said, "We had an unbelievable marriage and we have a great friendship now. And we love our son to death, and I'm really proud of that, because I'm not sure I did that well the first time."
