Mike 'The Situation' Sorrentino Engaged To Girlfriend Lauren Pesce

Congratulations to Jersey Shore's Mike "The Situation" Sorrentino!

Sorrentino and his longtime girlfriend, Lauren Pesce, are engaged. The pair shared the good news with Us Weekly in an article published on Thursday, April 26, 2018. Sorrentino popped the big question while filming Jersey Shore Family Vacation. "I have always dreamed of proposing on Jersey Shore, the show that introduced me to the world," Sorrentino told the magazine. "I'm currently living the dream and proposed to my college sweetheart, Lauren Pesce, amongst my best friends on the biggest reality show in the country. We are so proud and excited to share this chapter of our story with the world."

Of course, Pesce also announced her engagement on social media. Sheย shared a photo of herself with Sorrentino on a carousel in Point Pleasant, N.J. Engagement ring on display, she wrote, "current situation ๐Ÿ’." Later sharing a closer look at the new rock, Pesce added, "I said YES ๐Ÿ’ love you forever."

For his part, Sorrentino commented on his engagement by posting a series of photographs of him and his future bride. "GYM TAN WE'RE ENGAGED!! ๐Ÿ™๐Ÿป๐Ÿ’ฏ๐Ÿ’," he captioned one photo. "THE FUTURE MR & MRS SITUATION ๐Ÿ™๐Ÿป๐Ÿ‡ฎ๐Ÿ‡น," he wrote in the caption of another post.

In a statement obtained by E! News, Sorrentino shared, "We couldn't be more excited to announce our engagement," adding, "I am so blessed to have someone like Lauren by my side. She is officially Future Mrs. Situation."

Sorrentino previously revealed his plan to propose to Pesce in an episode of Jersey Shore Family Vacation that aired on April 26, shortly before the two revealed their engagement online.

Sorrentino and Pesce started dating four years before Jersey Shore originally aired in late 2009, after meeting in college. They reportedly ended their relationship shortly before Sorrentino started filming the hit MTV show but later reconciled in 2012.

Unfortunately, Sorrentino doesn't just have wedding plans to think about in the coming months. The 35-year-old also has a sentencing to worry about on June 20, 2018 (via Radar Online). As Nicki Swift previously reported, Sorrentino pleaded guilty to tax evasion back in January 2018. Sorrentino faces up to five years behind bars and a fine of up to $250,000.
