The Hottest NFL Players In The Game Today

There are attractive men in every sport, but some sports seem more prone to serving us with superb eye candy. Maybe it is the muscle required for the job, or maybe it's those nylon and spandex pants, but football is one such sport. It is hard to watch a game and not notice the players' extreme athleticism, and when they take off their helmets, we are consistently reminded just how stunning many NFLers actually are from the neck up as well. Thankfully, nearly all of them have Instagram accounts and most are not shy about posting photos that highlight their sex appeal, which means that we can gawk whenever we want.

There are simply too many hot men who have played in the NFL for us to make a shorter list of the sexiest players, so we had to focus on men currently active in the league. That means that some very hot dudes who retired in the last handful of years — like Julian Edelman, Eric Decker, Chris Long, Danny Amendola, Reggie Bush, Mark Sanchez, and more — were ineligible. But even focusing only on current players, we had to make some tough choices. Here are some of the hottest NFL players in the game today, in no particular order.

Odell Beckham Jr., or OBJ as he is commonly known, is a super popular NFL star. He has nearly 17 million Instagram followers and over four million on Twitter. Beckham Jr. began his pro career with the New York Giants in 2014, and also spent three seasons with the Cleveland Browns. He last played for the Los Angeles Rams and though he is currently unsigned, is expected to play again in 2023. In the meantime, let's appreciate OBJ for something beyond his talent — his unbelievable hotness. We love his awesome tattoos, thick beard, and wide smile, as well as his awesome fashion sense.

Beyond those basics, Beckham Jr.'s sexiness is highlighted on his social media in a number of ways. He often emphasizes his fitness routine and shows off his killer abs, but he also makes us swoon when he posts the softer side of himself, like a photo of him feeding his baby. And in addition to appearing naked in the 2015 ESPN Body Issue, Beckham Jr. has also modeled for Calvin Klein underwear. OBJ is listed as one of the league's hottest on lists from Ranker, Shape, and WROR. 

One of the hottest things about OBJ is how he was unbothered by the speculation regarding his sexuality earlier in his career. He told GQ in 2019, "Honestly wasn't offended. I've never once had no problem with anybody who has their own personal life that they live. ... It was almost more funny to me."

In 2018, the year he joined the NFL, Sports Illustrated published an article about how Saquon Barkley had a goal to become the "face of the NFL" and even had a strategy to get there. We won't go so far as to say that Barkley is the actual face of the NFL — USA Today and many others consider Patrick Mahomes the current face of the league — but he has certainly established himself as a highly visible standout star. He had the best rookie season in New York Giants history, and has accumulated 2.5 million followers on Instagram and half a million followers on Twitter. He has also scored endorsements with huge brands like Nike, Pepsi, Visa, Dunkin', and Gillette.

Barkley certainly has the charisma needed to sell a product, and his good looks certainly do not hurt. His photo shoot for the 2018 ESPN Body Issue exposed every part of his body, and all of it looked incredible. Barkley's face is equally as sexy, which is perhaps why he is near the top on Ranker's "The Hottest NFL Players of 2023" and why he was named one of WROR's top 10 hottest pro football players in 2022. Barkley has been with his girlfriend Anna Congdon since before he joined the NFL, and the two now have two children.

Clearly, there is something in the genes, because J.J. Watt's younger brother T.J. is also a total smoke show. To boot, the younger Watt is widely regarded as one of the best football players out there today. T.J. has been in the NFL for six seasons, all of them with the Pittsburgh Steelers, and like his big brother, has won the Defensive Player of the Year award. (This also seems like a good place to note that there is a third brother, Derek Watt, who is also in the NFL. And while Derek is also gorgeous, alas, he did not make our list.) T.J. also has an Instagram following of a million and a Twitter following half that size.

While he is not as fond of posting thirst traps as his older brother, T.J. Watt is a prime piece of man candy who frequently practices in a sleeveless shirt. It seems almost unfair that a body that perfect is topped by an equally perfect face — which includes Watt's deep blue eyes, Disney prince chin, and million-dollar smile. Like his brother, T.J. Watt is on all sorts of lists of hot NFLers. This includes Ranker's "The Hottest NFL Players of 2023," WROR's "The Top 10 Best Looking Players in the NFL," and Shape's "The Hottest NFL Players on the Field This Season."

We will occasionally add someone to a list like this who is divisive, but we don't expect anybody to disagree with the inclusion of Christian McCaffrey here. The hunky running back is so attractive that he is on basically every list of NFL hotties that has ever been created. This includes Ranker's "The Hottest NFL Players Of 2023," where he is in the top 10, as well as lists from Shape and WROR. Even before he was in the NFL, OutSports wrote an article with the headline, "Christian McCaffrey would win the Heisman for hotness," and the attention has only escalated since 2015. For example, a spicy 2020 GQ shoot where McCaffrey appeared in his undies garnered attention from a plethora of outlets, such as People and SB Nation.

Beyond being drop dead gorgeous, McCaffrey has a lot of other things going for him. As detailed in a Sports Illustrated profile and that spicy GQ one, the Stanford graduate is wicked smart, is an expert piano player, and has an unwavering level of discipline. He is also one of the best players in the NFL, and a tabloid staple thanks to his relationship with former Miss Universe Olivia Culpo. McCaffrey spent five years with the Carolina Panthers but has played for the San Francisco 49ers since 2022 — a move that only increased his popularity. He has 1.8 million Instagram followers and has done endorsements for companies like Gillette, Nike, Nerf, Visa, BODYARMOR, and more.

Joe Burrow is possibly the most stylish football player out there, which has certainly helped him become not just a fashion icon but also a frequent topic on Tik Tok. Multiple sites, like Tag24 and The Big Lead, have noted that TikTok users are incredibly sweet on the handsome and charming Burrow. But with 3.8 million Instagram followers and nearly a million Twitter followers, Burrow's appeal is not limited to just TikTok. Of course, many of those follows are there because he is one of the NFL's best current players. Burrow has been a quarterback for the Cincinnati Bengals since he joined the league in 2020.

That Burrow has made a huge mark on social media in just a few years is at least somewhat due to his aesthetics. WROR has named him one of "The Top 10 Best Looking Players In The NFL," while he is currently number three on Ranker's "The Hottest NFL Players of 2023." Burrow has also been praised for his fashion sense, which includes flashy patterns, bright colors, and unexpected pairings. His style has been covered by the New York Post, Today, and the Cincinnati Enquirer. Even The New York Times has clocked Burrow's fashion icon status and crossover appeal. In early 2022, Bustle said "The Internet Is Crushing Hard On Joe Burrow," but really, it's more of an infatuation than a crush.

D.J. Moore has one of the lowest profiles of the men on our list — with just under 200,000 Instagram followers and 45,000 Twitter followers — but he deserves far more fans than he has accumulated. Moore has had a couple of endorsements — namely with Pizza Hut and Nike — but he is nowhere near the top of the heap when it comes to visibility or earning potential. But that is not to say that he should not be — after all, the striking athlete is so handsome that he was even invited to walk at 2019 New York Fashion Week. Moore's looks have also landed him on a number of lists, including Ranker's "The Hottest NFL Players Of 2023" and WROR's "The Top 10 Best Looking Players In The NFL."

Moore has been a wide receiver for the Carolina Panthers since joining the NFL in 2018. According to CBS Sports, Moore once broke up a fight that erupted between two Panthers fans in the stadium — not surprising, since we think his charming smile could stop a war in its tracks. In addition to that smile, Moore also has glistening brown eyes, highly defined muscles, and an array of cool tattoos. We only wish he had more than a handful of photos on his Instagram so that we had more opportunity to catch a glimpse of his cute face.

There are a number of reasons why Aaron Rodgers is one of the most famous football players out there today. For starters, he is a great athlete, earning the number three spot in ESPN's 2022 predictions for the NFL's top players. Rodgers has also been with the Green Bay Packers for a whopping 18 seasons, so he has spent nearly two decades in the public eye. He is also well-known because of his string of high-profile romances with celebrities such as Shailene Woodley and Olivia Munn, the drama with his family, and his controversial comments about the COVID-19 vaccine. 

But that is not all it is, because Rodgers also has a whole lot of swagger and enough charisma that he was even tapped to host "Jeopardy!" for a quick stint. He is also quite dreamy, as evidenced by Hollywood Life's gallery of his handsomest photos. Rodgers makes the cut whenever there is a roundup of hot quarterbacks, and he is on nearly every other list of NFLers who make fans drool. This includes Harper's Bazaar's "The Hottest Football Players in the NFL" and Shape's "The Hottest NFL Players On the Field This Season." And even though he is currently No. 51 on Ranker's list of NFL hotties (out of 52), considering there are nearly 1,700 active players in the league, that is not too shabby.

Quarterback Carson Wentz joined the NFL in 2016, playing first for the Philadelphia Eagles before moving to the Indianapolis Colts for a season and then to his current team, the Washington Commanders. He has a million Twitter followers and just under a million Instagram followers, but for some reason does not get the cred he deserves for being a bonafide hottie — though Shape did include them on their 2021 list, "The Hottest NFL Players On the Field This Season." We felt the need to include the redheaded zaddy on our list, even if the whole internet did once make fun of him for going full ketchup and mustard with a bright red shirt and even brighter yellow jacket when he joined the Commanders' roster.

Wentz has just the right amount of wholesome dorkiness as he does sexy dilfiness. His Instagram is filled with cute family shots that show off not only his dedication as a husband and dad, but also his warm smile and kind eyes. Even though Barstool Sports has made fun of Wentz's pale complexion, we think he works what he has got quite well. Fanbuzz even compared Wentz to Prince Harry, who they said looked like his "long-lost brother." Seeing their photos side by side, we have to agree, although we think Wentz has the edge when it comes to physical attractiveness. Wentz has also been vocal about racial injustice, per the Pennsylvania Capital-Star, which only makes us like him more.

Though Harrison Butker has been vocal about his divisive social and political views — like his anti-vaccination stance that almost led him to quit his job, per the Kansas City Star — there is nothing divisive about his status as one of football's hottest current players. He also seems to be respectful of others who disagree with his takes, telling KSNT that he values the NFL's diversity. "What I love about football is it's kind of like a melting pot," he said. "Bunch of different guys, different backgrounds, different personalities, different viewpoints come together."

But back to Butker's looks, which have landed him on WROR's "The Top 10 Best Looking Players In The NFL" and Ranker's "The Hottest NFL Players of 2023." The kicker — who has played for the Kansas City Chiefs since 2017 — has a marvelous smile, amazing hair, and one of the best beards in the game. He also has impeccable fashion tastes, which has led some to label him a style icon. Butker features his dapper looks on Instagram, where it is easy to notice his love of blazers, bags, and loafers. Butker co-owns NOVUS Clothing Company, which specializes in sportswear, but is best known for dressing up on game days. "I'd say probably the past year or so I've been wearing the suits for all the games," he told KSHB 41 in 2021. "And I love it. It puts me in a good frame of mind for every game."
