Summer House: Who Is Newbie Gabby Prescod And What Does She Do For A Living?
We hope you're ready, "Summer House" fans! Because there are a few fresh faces looking to cause some drama on the Bravo show. The series has seen quite a few cast members come and go since it debuted back in 2017, and with Luke Gulbranson and Alex Wach both saying goodbye to the show after Season 6, there was certainly room for some new eye candy in the house for Season 7.
Those genetically blessed newbies have come in the form of three brand new cast members, Samantha Feher, Chris Leoni, and Gabby Prescod, who we got our first taste of when the show debuted Season 7 on February 13. We already know Leoni has quite the interesting background — including once being in the Marines! — and makes his money as a director, filmmaker, and model (when he's not appearing on reality TV, of course), but what about Prescod? Well, it sounds like she, too, has an equally exciting career and quite the dramatic connection to one of her new co-stars.
Gabby Prescod is all about fashion and social justice
New Yorker Gabby Prescod has made quite the name for herself in the fashion and media world. The new reality star is Blanc magazine's fashion director at large and has quite the impressive résumé, including working for both Bustle and Grazia over the years. We also know that Prescod isn't afraid to speak out for what's right, as she uses her social media to rally against injustice and encourage democracy. In June 2020, she shared an Instagram post encouraging her followers to get out and exercise their right to vote a few months after she posted an important message about the Black Lives Matter movement. "Today is meant to prioritize black voices. Listen to them. Make others listen to them. Let them hear us," she wrote on Blackout Tuesday.
You might also know Prescod, though, for being one half of the Prescod Sisters, as she and her sister Danielle share much of their adventures on their joint Instagram account. Just like her sister, Danielle has an impressive career of her own, as she's the author of "Token Black Girl: A Memoir" and has hosted her own podcast, while also working for BET and InStyle.
Gabby Prescod already has a connection to the Summer House cast
Gabby Prescod may be new to the "Summer House" cast... but she's not actually new to the "Summer House" cast. Allow us to explain. It turns out Prescod already has a touchy connection to her new castmate Danielle Olivera, which has the potential to cause a whole lot of drama. In a trailer for Season 7, Prescod (who was friends with Paige DeSorbo before joining the show) can be seen telling Olivera, "My ex-boyfriend and I dated for four years. But he cheated on me with you." *Cue gasps.*
Following the cheating scandal, we know Prescod is single now, so it looks like there could be the potential for a romance to blossom for the newbie this season. After all, it seems she's already forming close bonds with her co-stars! Prescod shared a snap with Samantha Feher and Chris Leoni and another with the rest of her "Summer House" castmates on Instagram on February 20, writing, "New kids on the block had a bunch of hits."
Friendship, romance, or drama, we're here for whatever Prescod is bringing this season.
