How Many Kids Does Offset Have?
Rapper Offset is, if nothing else, a family man. The longtime Migos member did, after all, title his 2019 debut solo album "Father of 4," and rocks a rather glaring face tattoo of his daughter's name. Although Offset and wife Cardi B spent the early years of their marriage dealing with cheating allegations — and almost divorced because of them — they have seemingly smoothed things out. The emcee couple's focus since has been on raising their growing brood of children.
Upon the release of "Father of 4," Offset opened up about his personal journey with parenting over the years in a series of candid tweets. "Father hood was missing in my life and sometimes I have to be missing for work but it all come back to the little ones," the rapper wrote. Admitting he "didn't take the cleanest route to success" and was, by no means, a "perfect father," the Georgia native also addressed his confessional lyrics about his relationships with each of his kids. "I want them to understand their dad for the good and the bad," the rapper explained. True to the theme of his album title, Offset posed on its cover with his then-four little ones, rocking regal threads against a Photoshopped, Egyptian-inspired backdrop.
That was 2019, however, and Offset and Cardi B's family have only grown since — the rapper would definitely need more room on any future family photoshoots, let's just say...
Offset is vocal about his devotion to his pride of five
Offset (whose birth name is Kiari Kendell Cephus) became a "Father of 5" after Cardi B birthed their second child, Wave Set, in September 2021.. He and the "WAP" rapper celebrated their son's first birthday in lavish style, festooning a funhouse with balloon-covered luxury sports cars for a "Wave, Set, Go" car theme. (OK, that's pretty clever.) As for Wave's big sis, Kulture Kiari, she's forever immortalized thanks to a tattoo of her name on her dad's jawline. (More on that later...)
Apart from his tykes with Cardi B, Offset has three other children by three separate women. He had his oldest son, Jordan, at a mere 17 years of age with a woman named Justine Watson. In a December 2022 Instagram post, Offset gushed, "I have a 13yr old my first born my King," remarking that Jordan turned him into "a man at 17." His second son, Kody, was born in 2015 to ex-girlfriend Oriel Jamie, an aesthician, while his oldest daughter, Kalea, was also born that year to rapper Shya L'Amour. In 2021, Kalea even posed with her half-sis Kulture and stepmom Cardi B in a Christmas photoshoot shared to Cardi's Instagram.
Before you ask, yes, Offset does have his other children's names tattooed on him (minus Kalea). After he received his "Kulture" ink, he pointed fans in a video clip to where he had his tributes to Jordan and Kody placed on his body.
Offset and Cardi B are the picture of stability compared to his relationship with ex-baby mamas
Cardi B aside, Offset has had a bumpy relationship with his kids' mothers over the years. While Offset's relationship with his oldest, Jordan, has always seemed close, Jordan's mom, Justine Watson, notably sued the Migos rapper for child support in 2017. In court documents, Watson staked the claim that Offset's financial assistance was iffy at best, with him reportedly under-contributing to medical bills, education needs, and extracurricular activities. In response, the rapper reportedly requested joint legal and physical custody to counter Watson's lawsuit.
As for the mother to his oldest daughter, Kalea — rapper Shya L'Amour — she famously blasted Offset in February 2019 for the "Father of 4" title track, which depicted his absence from Kalea's first few years. In a since-deleted Instagram post, L'Amour wrote in her diatribe, "I'll be damned if my daughter see or hear this in the future and think I was just out here living a thot life and didn't know who my bd was! You CHOSE not to see bout her. You CHOSE to remain ignorant!!"
Offset told Haute Living that very month that his "journey of fatherhood was kind of tough" at first, as he was young and lacking "direction on what it meant to be a father." Acknowledging mistakes but "no regrets," Offset elaborated that being "constantly on the road" only further distanced him from his kids. "Now that I'm older, though, I'm learning my way," he reflected.
