The Strange Way Millie Bobby Brown Described Her Relationship With Henry Cavill
Henry Cavill and Millie Bobby Brown are two of the most famous British actors in the entertainment industry today. Cavill's career first took off when he starred as Clark Kent in the 2013 DC Comics film, "Man of Steel." At the time of the film's release, Brown was still an unknown child actor, but not for long. Brown got her big break a couple of years later, as she starred as Eleven in the hit Netflix series, "Stranger Things." Her exceptional performance made it clear that Brown was a force to be reckoned with. The two actors played their own version of a superhero in each project, and it made sense that at the top of their game, Netflix would create a film that starred both Cavill and Brown. So, that's exactly what they did.
In 2020, the two actors starred in the streaming services movie, "Enola Holmes." The movie was based on the book "The Case of the Missing Marquess: An Enola Holmes Mystery," which focused on Sherlock Holmes' little sister, Enola, solving a case. Henry Cavill, who is 20 years older than Brown, fittingly played her older brother in the project, and while it seemed unlikely that the two would form a bond, they have become quite good friends. The "Stranger Things" actor has even described their friendship in quite an interesting way.
Millie Bobby Brown's relationship with Henry Cavill has 'terms and conditions'
It seems odd that a friendship would come with hypothetical "terms and conditions," but that is what works for Millie Bobby Brown and Henry Cavill. The "Stranger Things" actor spilled all the details about her and Cavill's "real adult relationship" with Deadline and explained how it's unlike anything she has ever experienced. Brown said, "... we have terms and conditions. I know Henry. He has terms and conditions with me. I'm not allowed to ask about his personal life. It's like, 'Millie, shut up. No.' And I'm like 'Understood.'" Cavill's "strict" demeanor was definitely a dramatic change for Brown because, in the past, she has been notably close with her fellow co-stars.
Growing up on the set of "Stranger Things," it was easier for Brown to get along with her co-stars because many of them were her age. The "Godzilla vs. Kong" actor has even admitted that her relationship with her co-stars on the Netflix hit show was instantaneous. In 2018, she told the Daily Mail that upon meeting, "We would be, like, really nice to each other. We didn't want to do anything that would hurt each other's feelings ... Now it's so different. We are actually siblings. We argue all the time."
Of course, Brown and her "Stranger Things" castmates have more years of getting to know one another than she and Cavill. Maybe with a couple more "Enola Holmes" sequels, she and the "Witcher" actor will be just as close.
Henry Cavill's sibling relationship with Millie Bobby Brown is unlike his own
Henry Cavill and Millie Bobby Brown don't stray too far from their characters in "Enola Holmes," because they truly see each other as brother and sister. It's not uncommon for this to happen as Brown and Cavill can add their names to the long list of best on-screen brother and sister duo. Cavill has even talked about his sibling-like relationship with Brown to ET Canada. He said, "I love working with Millie. She is such a bombastic personality."
He further added, "We really are like brother and sister. We annoy each other, make fun of each other, tease each other, but we support each other as well." Unlike many older brothers, however, the "Superman" actor showered his on-screen sister with compliments. He said, "She has such a keen mind and ... is a brilliant producer. I can't wait to see where she carries this already magnificent career."
Cavill's relationship with Brown is sure to be special, because he actually never had a sister growing up. Growing up, Cavill was one of five brothers, and being one of the youngest, he had to develop some tough skin. He told "The Graham Norton Show" that growing up there was "a lot of rough and tumble" between him and his brothers as it shaped his strong personality. However, it seems that Brown is slowly chipping away at his tough demeanor, as the actor has clearly developed a soft spot for his on-screen little sister.
