Brody Jenner's Relationship With His Future Baby Mama Tia Blanco

Brody Jenner broke a lot of hearts on "The Hills," with his tousled brown locks and a body chiseled by the Malibu waves he regularly surfs. He was the poster boy during the show's first six successful seasons, when fans wondered whether he would go for girl-next-door Lauren Conrad or ride off into the Los Angeles sunset with token bad girl Kristin Cavallari. While he didn't find lasting romance on the show, he did go on to date some high-profile celebrities since the initial series ended in 2010. From Playboy Playmate Jayde Nicole to rocker Avril Lavigne, the reality television star has had no shortage of beautiful women as his arm candy over the years. He was even married (in a non-legally binding ceremony) to model Kaitlynn Carter for about a year before they ended their six-year relationship.

These days, however, the Malibu native is settling down with professional surfer Tia Blanco. The two became Instagram official in May 2022, and they have been going strong ever since. "You have been rocking my world since the day I met you," Blanco wrote in a birthday tribute to Jenner on Instagram that August. "Thank you for all of the love & happiness you have brought to my life. A heart of gold."

Just less than a year after they met, the two announced in January 2023 that they were expecting their first child together. We're taking a look at Brody Jenner's whirlwind relationship with his future baby mama, Tia Blanco.

Brody Jenner met Tia Blanco in Hawaii

They say "Don't go chasing waterfalls," but what if you meet Brody Jenner at one? That's a question for Tia Blanco — who met the MTV star while vacationing in Hawaii. She told E! News, "The first date we had, we met on a beautiful island. We went straight to this amazing waterfall and we're both such earth people so it was just the most beautiful setting. Then we went surfing and to a nice dinner. I don't really know what else a girl could ask for?" Fans started speculating on the pair's romance when they both posted photos at the same waterfall in the Aloha state in April 2022. Shortly after, Jenner and Blanco went public with their romance, as previously mentioned.

The duo is accustomed to living their lives in the public eye, with Jenner's reality television background and Blanco's career as a professional surfer. Despite navigating their blossoming relationship in the spotlight, Blanco admitted they managed to keep things under wraps at the beginning. "But we're both just so in love and it just happened naturally to share the fun things that we do and this exciting time in our life together," she added.

Meeting Jenner in Hawaii was a full-circle moment for the pro athlete, who grew up in a military family that was stationed on the island of Oahu. She frequently travels back to the Hawaiian Islands to enjoy the waves and post dreamy bikini shots of her surf adventures.

They both share of love of surfing

Malibu native Brody Jenner has grown up with waves in his backyard his whole life — so it only makes sense that he would fall for a gold medal surf champion like Tia Blanco. The blonde bombshell's journey to becoming a professional surfer began when she was 12 years old while she was living on the Hawaiian island of Oahu. It was there that she fell in love with the sport, surfing every day to keep up with girls who had started years before. Blanco eventually made her way to the top, taking first place at the International Surfing Association Open Women's World Surfing Championship in 2015.

It's no secret that Jenner has also been passionate about surfing his entire life. "The Hills" star often posts videos to his Instagram page of him zipping through crystal clear barrels and dropping in on waves in tropical destinations worldwide. Jenner now has a partner by his side to surf some of the best waves around the world. In June 2022, the two took a trip to the Kelly Slater Surf Ranch in California, where Blanco posted a clip to her Instagram of the pair surfing side by side, writing, "Party wave at @kswaveco w @brodyjenner."

Blanco previously spoke to Surf Girl magazine about her love for the sport and competing, saying, "Surfing is very cathartic for me." She added, "It helps me kind of tune in and tap back into my core values. I'm not a very religious person, but surfing can be quite spiritual for me."

Brody Jenner and Tia Blanco are expecting their first child

Brody Jenner and Tia Blanco kicked off 2023 by announcing they were expecting their first child, as previously mentioned. "The Hills" alum shared a joint Instagram with his girlfriend to announce the exciting baby news alongside a video of Blanco getting an ultrasound. "To start off this new year, we'd like to take this opportunity to wish all of our friends, family and followers health, happiness & an abundance of love. We truly appreciate & love you all. We are excited to share with you the blessing of a new life in the new year ... Our little angel is on their way," the sweet post read, alongside a blue heart emoji.

The duo celebrated a gender reveal for their little one in February, revealing that they were having a baby girl. They invited their family and friends to join in on the celebration, complete with giant baby blow-up dolls that launched pink confetti. Blanco shared her excitement about the news on Instagram, writing, "IT'S A GIRL. So thrilled. Can't wait for @brodyjenner to become the best girl dad in the world! Love you!"

Blanco seems to have enjoyed every minute of carrying her daughter-to-be, if her social media posts are any indication. The professional surfer has continued to catch waves during her pregnancy — although she's traded her shortboard for a longer ride. She's kept up her active lifestyle alive outside of the water, too, as she posted photos of a beachside hike, complete with Jenner's furry friends tagging along, in February 2023.

Tia Blanco is a vegan entrepreneur

Tia Blanco has channeled her vegan lifestyle and her entrepreneurial spirit into one. The professional surfer co-founded the company Dear Self Skincare in 2018 alongside her sister, software engineer Aja Blanco, which features an array of cruelty-free, nature-based products that are designed to leave your skin glowing. Ingredients like rosehip, sea kelp, tea tree oil, and lemongrass are featured in a full-step line that retails for $159.

The pro surfer's journey to being a businesswoman alongside her older sister wasn't easy, however, as they first launched the company with a select few products. "We had to learn about the beauty and skincare industry as we went. We had to start from square one, since we had no real mentor for learning, like learning about the FDA regulations and all of that," Tia told The Beet in 2020.

But skincare isn't the only business with which Tia Blanco has gotten her feet wet. The Puerto Rican native has also launched her own line of swimwear and activewear in partnership with Jolyn Clothing. The collection went live in November 2022, with Blanco writing in an Instagram post, "So EXCITED to finally launch my yoga collection with JOLYN. I pretty much designed my dream athletic wear line." The professional surfer also went on to design a bikini and surfwear collection for the brand, which she's been seen modeling on social media. The line features many different styles fit for lounging on the beach, while durable enough to stand up to the waves

The pro surfer shares Brody Jenner's love of travel

Brody Jenner and Tia Blanco are the jet-setting couple that makes you want to say "goals" every time you open Instagram. The duo love to travel together, frequently posting adorable snaps of their trips together — whether they're catching waves or catching sunsets. For Blanco, traveling is something that comes naturally to her. She was born in Bayamón, Puerto Rico, a small suburb of San Juan on the Northern side of the U.S. island territory. She was accustomed to moving around as a child, being born into a military family with a father who was stationed across the States — including the Hawaiian island of Oahu, as previoulsy mentioned. As she continued to improve her surfing and compete nationally, Blanco began to travel more and more as she grew up and honed her skills.

Though her family eventually settled in California, Blanco still visits Hawaii each year. "I love Hawaii. ... It is such a beautiful lifestyle and surfing there is such a dream. Since I grew up part-time on Oahu, I have all my childhood friends there, which makes it feel like my second home," she told RAEN magazine, adding, "With my immediate family still being in SoCal, I plan to go back and forth!"

Jenner has also traveled all over the world, from dropping in on Bali's perfect waves to spending Christmas in Cabo. While these travel lovers jet-set around the world, the love — and the sky miles — are bound to multiply.

They have both been on reality shows

Brody Jenner and Tia Blanco share more than a few similarities — but fans may be surprised to know that one of them is reality television. While the world may know her as an incredible surfer, Blanco has also made her debut on MTV — the same network that featured Jenner on "The Hills." The professional surfer competed in "The Challenge: Champs vs. Pros" in 2020, a spinoff version of "The Challenge," which had professional athletes competing against former reality stars turned "Challenge" champions. The end goal was ultimately for a good cause, with each player selecting a charity to win money for. Sadly, Blanco didn't make it to the finish line — or very close to it at all — as she was eliminated in Episode 4 after raising $1,000 for St. Jude's Children's Hospital.

In a show that was a bit more fitting to Blanco's lifestyle, she also competed on ABC's "The Ultimate Surfer" in 2021. The competition show featured 14 surfers from around the world competing in various challenges at Kelly Slater's Surf Ranch in California. Blanco took first place in the show, alongside Zeke Lau, with both winning $100,000 in prize money, as well as competition slots at the World Surf League Championship Tour.

Jenner, who's been featured in several of the Kardashian-Jenner family's various E! shows, also had a follow-up stint on MTV: He took part in "The Hills: New Beginnings" reboot with several OG castmates, which ran for two seasons from 2019 to 2021 before being canceled.

Brody Jenner is Tia Blanco's 'dream man'

Tia Blanco couldn't have been happier to have Brody Jenner by her side as she ushered in this new chapter of motherhood. The bikini designer got candid about her relationship with her baby daddy to E! News in March 2023, saying she was counting down the days till their daughter arrived. "I am super thrilled. Personally, for me, I've always had a very special bond with my dad. Growing up, he was very hands-on in my surfing career and in my life, and I know Brody is going to be the best dad ever," she admitted.

Blanco previously told A Sunny Space that her love of surfing grew from the quality time it allowed her to spend with her dad — and she went on to explain to E! News how excited she was to see Jenner step into this role and cultivate his own father-daughter bond with their child.

Blanco also gushed about how she'd finally found her true partner in life. "He is everything I dreamed of as a little girl growing up when I would think of my dream man," she revealed of Jenner. "He's supporting, kind and loving and we share a lot of the same interests and passions in life. ... He's also my best friend."

Tia Blanco has Brody Jenner's mother's approval

Tia Blanco not only won Brody Jenner's heart, but the professional surfer got the seal of approval from his mother, as well. Brody has been open about his fractured relationship with dad Caitlyn Jenner, admitting on "The Hills: New Beginnings" that the former Olympian was absent from most of his life after marrying into the Kardashian clan in 1991. While he isn't close with Caitlyn, Brody makes up for it with a tight relationship with mom Linda Thompson. "Happy birthday to this real-life angel. Don't know what I would ever do without you mom. Love you so much," Brody wrote in an Instagram tribute to his songwriter mother in 2022.

If Thompson and Blanco's relationship on social media is any indication, the two get along just fine. Thompson took to Instagram to post a photo alongside her son and Blanco while the trio were vacationing in Hawaii in March 2023, writing, "Family fun with @brodyjenner & @tiablanco Aloha style." Blanco wrote back in the comments, "I loved today & I love you."

Brody Jenner's mother also frequently comments on Blanco's Instagram photos, and we're pretty sure she's ready to add another grandchild to her family. "What a beautiful baby girl growing with the two of you as mom & dad," Thompson wrote in the comments section of a photo featuring her son and the professional surfer embracing under a Hawaiian sunset.
