Pregnant Hilary Duff Reveals She Was 'So Nervous' She'd Have Another Boy

Hilary Duff can't wait to welcome her second child.

During an interview with KIIS-FM's On Air With Ryan Seacrest on Tuesday, June 12, 2018, the Younger star opened up about the moment she learned she would be having a baby girl.

"I was so nervous beforehand because I thought for sure I was going to have a boy," she admitted. "I have a boy already — which would have been great, and I'm obsessed with [my son] Luca — but I just wanted one of each."

Duff added, "It was funny that I cared so much. My sister has girls and I feel like I'm really girly. But obviously for the past six years, I've bought, like, monsters and trucks and planes. Luca is into all the boy stuff, so everything is blue and green. I was just ready for pink and purple stuff. I was so excited. It was really fun."

The "So Yesterday" singer went on to share details about her gender reveal party, which appropriately took place on Mother's Day. "It was the most fun day. We had close family and friends over," she told Seacrest. "We ordered these really cute confetti cannons on Etsy. They look like smoke, but it's powder and some confetti and you twist them ... It sounds so silly because it's kind of childish, but it's so exciting."

As Nicki Swift previously reported, Duff, 30, first announced that she and boyfriend Matthew Koma, 31, were expecting their first child together last Friday, June 8. "Guess what guys! @matthewkoma and I made a little princess of our own and we couldn't be more excited!!!!!!" the proud mom wrote on Instagram, captioning a sweet snapshot of the two.

"We made a baby girl!" Koma wrote on social media, while sharing the same photo. "She will be as beautiful and sweet as her mother... @hilaryduff another incredible chapter begins."

The former Disney star shares her 6-year-old son, Luca, with ex-husband Mike Comrie. Just one day before the exciting pregnancy news was revealed, Duff's older sister, Haylie, announced that she and fiancé Matt Rosenberg had welcomed their second child together.
