RHONJ: What Gia Giudice And Dina Manzo's Relationship Is Like Today

Every diehard "The Real Housewives of New Jersey" fan and stan remembers the exact moment during Season 2 when a freshly postpartum Teresa Giudice asked her close friend and then-castmate Dina Manzo to be her hours-old newborn daughter Audriana Giudice's godmother ... all while the Bravo cameras were rolling. (We're not crying, you're crying.) But make no mistake about it. Dina has always been super close with all four of Teresa's daughters — including her eldest daughter, Gia Giudice. 

"How much do you love Gia? She is such a beautiful kid inside and out," Manzo penned in her Bravo TV "Real Housewives" blog in 2014, following an episode wherein Gia showed an enormous amount of maturity and strength while talking to her mother, Teresa, about both of her parents' looming legal problems. 

But just how close are Dina and Gia today? And what's the status of their current relationship? Here's everything we know!

College student and aspiring lawyer Gia Giudice may be very busy these days, but she still makes time for Dina Manzo ... and vice versa! During a recent appearance on the May 3 episode of her mother's podcast, "Namaste B$tches," Gia Giudice provided a small update about where her relationship with Manzo stands. When asked which of the women on "Real Housewives of New Jersey" was her favorite, Gia rattled off, "Dolores Catania, Jennifer Aydin, Jacqueline Laurita," and last but not least, her "Aunt Dina." She added, "We always communicate on social media. She always comments on my posts [and] we always wish each other happy birthday, and happy holidays."

As you may recall, Dina fled the Garden State and moved to sunny California in 2015. But why, exactly? "I'm not gonna lie. It was my divorce," Manzo confessed during a 2016 interview with Entertainment Tonight. "I wanted to run as far away as possible," she declared. But even on the opposite end of the country, Manzo has always found a way to stick up for Gia.

Dina Manzo was not pleased with Jackie Goldschneider following her remarks about Gia Giudice during Season 11 of "Real Housewives of New Jersey." The season proved to be a real doozie from the beginning when Teresa Giudice perpetuated a purported rumor that Goldschneider's husband, Evan Goldschneider, was allegedly cheating on her at the local gym. As one can imagine, Goldschneider didn't take the slight lying down and promptly swiped back with an analogy ... at Gia's expense. In a surprising move, Goldschneider compared Teresa repeating the so-called rumor to Goldschneider offhandedly stating that Gia does "coke in the bathroom at parties." As one can imagine, Teresa was furious and practically combusted with anger.

But then Manzo entered the group chat and went off on Goldschneider for bringing Gia into the disagreement, albeit a tad more eloquently. Piggybacking off a public statement issued by Teresa's business manager in which she condemned Goldschneider's behavior, Manzo reposted the statement to her Instagram story and included her thoughts. "I did NOT watch, but I totally agree," Manzo declared. "A Grown woman should not use that analogy about a minor EVER, especially about our beautiful @_giaguidice. Jackie needs to make a public apology immediately." As Manzo once said on camera, "I'm pretty zen until you f*** with me. Guess that goes for Gia too.
