RHOC: What Happened To Tamra Judge's Daughter, Sophia Barney?
Reality television star Tamra Judge first burst onto the Bravo scene way back in 2007 during Season 3 of "Real Housewives of Orange County." At that time, the blonde bombshell was a mother of three young children, Sidney, Spencer, and Sophia Barney, and one teenage son, Ryan Vieth, married to her then-husband Simon Barney. "Ryan was young. Sophia I think was 2, and she's now going on 17," she later recalled during an interview with Bravo's "The Daily Dish" about her debut on the reality series.
Fast forward to the present date, however, and Tamra's now married to Eddie Judge, and as for her children, they're all grown up. But don't just take our word for it. On January 7, 2020, Tamra took to Instagram to gush about her daughter, Sophia. "Youngest daughter not looking so young. Luv you so much," Tamra penned along with a photo of her. But whatever happened to Sophia? And what has she been up to lately? Here's everything we know!
Sophia Barney pursued music
It's basically a rite of passage that the "Real Housewives of Orange County" kids embark on a musical journey all their own, and as it turns out, Sophia Barney is no exception to the rule. In 2018, Barney dropped her first song, "Sketchers," on Soundcloud. Then in 2021, proud mama bear Tamra Judge took to her Instagram account to sing her daughter's praises. "Happy Birthday Sophia. I can't believe my baby girl is 15 years old. You have changed so much throughout the years but some things remain the same .... you are a rockstar, my best friend, incredibly talented, smart, beautiful, selfless, and caring. We are so proud [and] love you so much," Tamra gushed — emphasis on the word "rockstar." By then, Barney had released another song titled "Break Like Ice" under the artist name "Feeuh." And all before she was fifteen years old. No small feat, indeed!
But even with a budding music career, it's important to note that Sophia Barney never quit her day job, and by day job, we mean her position as a full-time high school student.
Sophia Barney graduated high school
Tragically, on April 23, less than two months before her graduation, Sophia Barney's high school went into lockdown after it was reported that an unknown man was on the school campus with a weapon. An Orange County Sheriff's Department spokesperson later told People that the suspect "was detained quickly" and found carrying a pocket knife. Fortunately, no one was harmed. "You get the text, and you're so helpless," Judge later shared in a candid Instagram video. "There's nothing you can do in this f***ing world. I'm so sick of it. I'm so sick of what's going on. My daughter now doesn't want to go back to school. It's her senior year ... It's got to stop!" she pleaded.
In the end, however, Sophia did return to school and went on to earn her high school diploma! On June 1, Barney's famous mom Tamra Judge gave all her fans a look into Sophia's high school graduation ceremony and subsequent festivities via a series of Instagram stories. "Sophia we are [so] proud of you," Judge gushed in one of the stories. Bravo, Sophia!
