Law & Order: SVU Star Kelli Giddish Pregnant With Second Child
Law & Order: SVU star Kelli Giddish is expecting another little bundle of joy!
While attending the show's season 20 premiere in New York City on Thursday, Sept. 20, 2018, the TV star, who's best known for playing Amanda Rollins on the hit NBC drama, revealed that she's pregnant with baby no. 2, Us Weekly reports. Showing off her growing baby bump on the red carpet, the soon-to-be mom-of-two jokingly said, "I'm feeling good, but ready to not be pregnant anymore!"
An eyewitness source told the magazine, "Kelli looked amazing, she was glowing." The insider added that co-star Mariska Hargitay "lit up" when she saw Giddish at the event and "ran right over to Kelli, rubbing her stomach and asking if she was feeling OK."
After tying the knot in New Smyrna Beach, Fla. in the summer of 2015, Giddish and husband Lawrence Faulborn welcomed their first child together, son Ludo, that October. At the time of this writing, the 38-year-old actress has yet to reveal the sex or expected due date of her second child. According to E! News, similarly to her first pregnancy, this one is also expected to be written into a storyline on the popular show.
A number of other celebs have shared exciting baby announcements of their own in recent weeks — including comedian John Oliver. As Nicki Swift previously reported, the Last Week Tonight host revealed earlier this week that he and and his wife, Army veteran Kate Norley, secretly welcomed their second child, a baby boy, three months ago. The married pair are also mom and dad to 2-year-old son Hudson. Of being a new father-of-two, Oliver told People magazine, "It's bewildering [and] exhausting juggling that and the show, but no, it's the greatest."
Meanwhile, Teen Mom stars Catelynn Lowell and Tyler Baltierra are currently expecting baby no. 3. "My expected due date is March 6th," the proud mom told Radar Online earlier this week. Having suffered a miscarriage not too long ago, Lowell confessed that it was "scary and emotional" when they first found out she was pregnant again. However, she added, "Once it sunk in, we started getting more and more excited."
Congratulations to Giddish and Faulborn on their baby news!
