Pregnant Meghan Markle Reportedly Shares Update On Her Due Date

Duchess Meghan Markle may be further along in her pregnancy than we originally thought.

According to an E! News report, published on Wednesday, Dec. 26, 2018, the Duchess of Sussex reportedly shared an update on her due date with a fan while greeting onlookers on Christmas Day at the Church of St. Mary Magdalene at Sandringham. She's currently expecting her first child with husband Prince Harry.

As one fan by the name of Karen Anvil told the publication, "She said, 'We are excited. We're nearly there.' I said, 'Enjoy every moment, being a mother is a wonderful thing.'"

"You know what? She was so genuine," Anvil went on to tell the media outlet, adding, "She was doing her duty as a royal with the crowds, shaking hands, etc. But when I asked her about the baby, she changed totally. She was glowing and instinctively went for her stomach. It was lovely."

As Nicki Swift previously reported, Markle, 37, and Prince Harry, 34, officially announced that they were expecting baby no. 1 in mid-October 2018. At the time, Kensington Palace revealed via Twitter that the royal baby was expected to arrive sometime in the spring of 2019. The married pair previously tied the knot in a beautiful ceremony at St George's Chapel at Windsor Castle this past May.

More recently, Queen Elizabeth II shared a sweet nod to the Duke and Duchess of Sussex's unborn child during her annual Christmas address to the nation. "Closer to home, it has been a busy year for my family," she said (via Time). "With two weddings and two babies, and another child expected soon, it helps to keep a grandmother well occupied."

That same day, Markle and Prince Harry were all smiles while joining Prince William and Duchess Kate Middleton during a morning walk through the English countryside to the Church of St. Mary Magdalene. While the former Suits actress showed off her growing baby bump during the royal family's outing, their cordial appearance notably followed rumors of an ongoing feud between the Sussexes and the Cambridges. Reports of growing tension have been surfacing over the last couple of months. However, it seems as though the recently coined Royal Fab Four were finally able to put this speculation to rest amid the holiday season.
