Jim Carrey In A Relationship With Kidding Co-Star Ginger Gonzaga

Comedian Jim Carrey is seeing a new woman — his Kidding co-star, actress Ginger Gonzaga.

Jim Carrey's representative confirmed the news that the funnyman was dating Gonzaga to People. The two had made their red carpet debut as a couple at Showtime's Golden Globe nominees celebration at the Sunset Tower Hotel on Saturday, Jan. 5, 2019, where they'd posed for photos together (via E! News). Carrey, 56, was nominated for best performance by an actor in a television series, comedy or musical for his work in Kidding. His character, Jeff, dated Gonzaga's character, Vivian.

Gonzaga, 34, later shared a photo of herself with Carrey from the event on Instagram, writing, "Most partial to this talented nominee. #goldenglobes."

Carrey and Gonzaga later attended the Golden Globes together on Sunday, Jan. 6. Speaking to Entertainment Tonight about his new relationship, Carrey said, "I'm very lucky. I feel very lucky." He continued, "She's not only beautiful. She's wickedly talented and amazing and smart."

Carrey later spoke with People at the InStyle & Warner Bros. 2019 Golden Globes afterparty and noted that he was "looking forward to the pajama party."

The Mask actor previously opened up about his personal life in an interview with the Radio Times in November 2018, as reported by the Daily Mail. "You could describe my home life as an isolated life. I spend a lot of time by myself but I like being by myself, so it's OK. That might be strange to some people, but I enjoy it," he said, adding, "I love to read and I enjoy painting and working on sculptures [in my free time]. And I date."

Carrey's last public relationship was with Cathriona White, whom he started dating in 2012 (via People). White was found dead from a prescription drug overdose in 2015. Carrey was later sued for wrongful death by White's estranged husband and her mother, who alleged that Carrey had given White drugs with knowledge that she had experienced depression. The lawsuit was eventually dismissed in February 2018.
