Singer Christina Milian first stepped on to the scene in the early 2000s and hasn't strayed too far from the spotlight since then. In a Kardashian-esque fashion, Milian put her family life on full display in 2015 with the short-lived reality series, Christina Milian Turned Up. The show, which debuted on the Kardashians' home network of E!, showcased the ups and downs of being part of Milian's world.
"You have to be very brave for this because you're being very vulnerable and exposing your life to the world," she told E! News. "There's moments that you're like, 'Oh, did I just do that?' but you're just being yourself. We're no different from anyone else—we're a family." One family member that viewers were introduced to on the show was Milian's daughter, Violet Madison Nash. She's the daughter of The-Dream
Violet Madison Nash is Christina Milian's first and only child with ex-husband Terius Youngdell Nash, better known as The-Dream. If his name sounds familiar, it's because The-Dream is a well-known producer and songwriter, with co-writing credits that include Rihanna's "Umbrella" and Beyoncé "Single Ladies." The two music mavens welcomed their daughter into the world on Feb. 26, 2010. From day one, the little lady was spoiled by her famous parents. In fact, before Violet had even entered the world, she was doing pretty well for herself thanks to some pretty over-the-top gifts.
"The baby already has a car, I got a house just for the baby — Christina can't get in the baby's car," The-Dream told MTV days before his daughter's birth. "I'm giving all my attention that I usually give to Christina to the baby, all the flowers I usually give Christina, I'm giving them to the baby." Although Milian and The-Dream called it quits just a few months after Violet was born, they still co-parent to this day. "My ex-husband and his wife are fantastic people and we do great co-parenting — international, state to state, and all of it," Milian told SheKnows. "We're able to make it work and put our daughter first."
She's already a social media star
Not content with living in her mom's shadow, Violet Madison Nash is already on her way to being a starlet in her own right. Milian's only daughter boasts more than 100,000 Instagram followers. And although the account's bio indicates the account is overseen by mom Christina Milian, the actual posts are all Violet, all the time — with the occasional cameo from mom. From trip snapshots to videos showcasing her style, the 9-year-old is living her best life on the 'gram.
A quick look at Milian's Instagram will reveal that the little one is also attempting to take over her mom's account. Every few pictures seemingly showcase a smiley Violet stealing the show. However, seeing as Milian captioned one shot of the duo, "Raising you is a dream come true," it doesn't seem like she minds sharing the spotlight. In addition to regular posts, Violet also has some vlogs up on her IGTV for fans to enjoy as well. Only time will tell if Violet Madison Nash is a YouTuber in the making.
She's about to be a big sister
Although Violet Madison Nash already has multiple half-brothers and -sisters from her father's marriages, she's about to gain another sibling on her mom's side. In July 2019, Christina Milian announced that she was expecting her second child — which will be her first with boyfriend Matt Pokora. The singer opened up to US Weekly about how Violet felt about becoming a big sister. "She has several siblings from her dad's side, [but] now she gets to be the boss and in control when it comes to me, so she's excited about it," she said. "She's always rubbing my belly now. She thinks it's gonna be a boy. So she already has her dibs in for that, so we'll see."
