Is Bam Bam From Alaskan Bush People Married?

A brand-new season of Alaskan Bush People kicked off on Dec. 4, 2019, and it's already promising to be a major one for Billy and Ami Brown and the rest of their family. If you keep up with the cast of the Discovery Channel show off-screen, you probably already know about the Brown family's tragedies, along with their triumphs — for instance, Gabe and Raquell Brown are expecting their first baby, and Bear Brown recently got engaged to Raiven Adams, as revealed on Alaskan Bush People's official Instagram. But what's been going on in the personal life of the family's second-oldest sibling, Joshua "Bam Bam" Brown?

Well, Bam Bam may not be married yet, but he's been in a long-term relationship for awhile now — even though most of his love story has played out outside the reality TV cameras.

Bam Bam says girlfriend Allison Kagan "stirred something inside" him

Back in February 2017, Bam Bam revealed in an interview with People that he was "head over heels" for a city girl. "She's stirred something inside me and made my soul wake up," he told the magazine of the woman he's dating. At the time, he even hinted at a future engagement, saying, "I hope we can blend our lives together and I can take her back to Alaska."

A few months later, Radar reported that the woman he'd fallen for was Allison Kagan, a former producer of Alaskan Bush People, who worked on the series from 2015-2018. (She's also worked on other popular reality shows, including 90 Day Fiancé, True Life, and 16 and Pregnant, per IMDb.) In June of that year, Bam tweeted a photo of Kagan with his mother, Ami Brown, and wrote in part, "So grateful for my girlfriend Alli. I'm blessed that she is here with my family... Love conquers all."

The couple decided to take their love story to the seas

Fast forward to November 2017, Bam revealed on Facebook that the pair had been dating since November 2016. They even decided to test the waters of their relationship (literally) by finding an old ferry boat to live on. He wrote, "The boat idea came to us when we were on the Staten Island ferry... and how cool it would be to have a space that large and also be on the water!"

Apparently Bam's girlfriend was instrumental in the process. Bam recalled, "Alli searched and found the old ferry just before she was going to be sold for scrap! We have been gutting and renovating her ever since. It's been a blast... Alli has great artistic vision and huge plans for the renovation."

Sure enough, they followed through on that boat renovation — even giving the boat its own Twitter account: @FathomThisFerry to document the process. They demolished the bathroom, updated the steel beams, and so much more.

Apparently Bam is "fed up" with how the family treats his girlfriend

Unfortunately for fans, the ferry account hasn't tweeted anything since May 2018 — and Bam's own Twitter also went quiet last fall. While these personal pages haven't shared any updates lately, things may be a bit rocky behind the scenes, according to an August 2019 report. There doesn't seem to be drama with their romantic relationship, but instead Allison's connection to Bam's family.

An insider claimed to Radar in August that the reality star was "completely fed up" that his family does "not show [his] woman Allison the same level of respect, and it really just sets him off because they've known her longer than any of his brother's new fame-hungry girls." Apparently the tense dynamic stems from the fact that Kagan previously was the family's boss while serving as a producer, per Radar.

Still, unless the news comes straight from the source (aka one of Bam's Twitter pages), it's worth taking the drama rumors with a grain of salt, especially since Bam captioned that photo of Allison and his mom in 2017, "Love conquers all." As for any wedding speculation, it's likely these two haven't tied the knot yet (unless they married in secret, doing so in a completely private, off-screen way without the family), but fans will just have to keep an eye on Discovery Channel and Twitter to find out what happens next.
