"My deep, deep, deep and seemingly endless frustration about this situation, which is complicated, led me to end up saying something to someone that I really meant to say to someone else," the actor explained on The View. The damage was done, however, and his visiting rights with Ireland were, ultimately, suspended.

Since the ordeal, it looks like Ireland has tried to put the past behind her and focus on making a name for herself in Hollywood. She's on good terms with her father, too, even making a surprise appearance on Alec's celebrity roast in 2019 (and delivering a long-awaited skewering for the 2007 voicemail). "I battled with many eating disorders and body issues as a younger girl and it took me a long time to find self-love and acceptance," the model shared on her Instagram story, (via People). "I used to read people's comments when I first started modeling and anytime anyone told me I was too tall or too fat to have done a job, I would run on a treadmill."
